Diddy VS Lucario

Everytime I try to attack Lucario, Lucario rolls away or runs away and tries to charge up his Aurasphere at long distance. The problem is Diddy has no projectile moves except the banana peels and I have to attack him in close combat and everytime i attack him in close combat he runs away or rolls.

Any advice?

Use the Peanut Popgun, Diddy's Standard Special.

lay a banana next to him, and if you can, keep one in your hand.
he'll try to jump over/roll past/pick up the banana in front of him, and that's when you should attack.

use his predictability to your advantage >:D

Diddy has a speed advantage against Lucario, so just keep running at him, dodge his stupid energy ball and combo him up. Also, Lucario's recovery isnt that great, so take advantage of that and edgeguard. A lot. that is one of Diddys greatest strengths
