Yeah, it's a pretty great job. I'm still fairly close to the bottom end of pay though. I started at $11 (min wage was 9ish at the time), now up to $12/hr + $0.50/hr if on cash, and an extra $4/hr on Sundays.

I read an interesting article recently that basically calculated out what the minimum wage should be in each state of the US in order to actually be enough money to live on decently, based on average cost of living in the state. According to it, the minimum wage should be twice what it actually is here.

Which seems like an outrageous amount of money to be paid if you, say, flip burger patties for living. But assuming that is, in fact, your living, $7.50 really isn't much of anything.
