Omega mode removes platforms so the stage is flat, and there's no item drops

That won't help. Level 1 computers tend to stand still, instead of following you around. That means you have to do a lot more moving in order to even touch them.

Your best bet is going after at least level 4's so they're always on you and in hitting range.

To be fair, all those OMEGA form records I did were on first attempt and were just done to fill up the board so people would have something to beat. The only records I even bothered spending more than one attempt on are 2 records with the good scores.

I think you should post kills for each character since some characters have a harder time landing kills. Unlike Mario, Pikachu doesn't have a meteor smash. Mega Man also has this advantage.
