Biweekly/Monthly Melee tournament TOed by Vestboy Myst as a part of the JerseyJapes series
NJ does not have nearly enough fests to complement the recent exponential growth of the tournament scene and this has great potential for being a large monthly meet up. Venue is well lit, quiet, has AC, can hold 9+ setups and has food/drink. If you don't enter the tournament but bring a setup (crt+cube/wii+game) there is no venue fee, and with enough we can have friendlies going the entire duration.
North / South / Central NJ really needs to start congregating in one place at one time if NJ ever wants to get better as a whole. I hope that the allure of a good venue and numerous players/stations is enough. If there are any other ideas that you guys can think of to make the drive worth it for you feel free to let me know.
If you are totally new to melee and want to see what all the fuss is about, take the first step and come this! Even if you dont know what a wavedash is or are unsure about entering. We will have players that can show you the ropes, answer questions, and help you get an idea of what the game is all about. -VBM

Recently opened comic/pop culture store on Rt 22. Venue has plenty of free parking right out front. Places to eat within walking distance and the venue itself sells snacks/drinks. Very spacious and well lit, and thinking of hosting other fighting games in the near future

Entry Fee: $10 per team
DE if >8 teams, RR otherwise
Prize structure:
2nd place makes 20% of the pot OR their entry back, whichever is greater

45-25-18-12 for 1st through 4th (>=32 entrants)
