Has anyone else had this issue? Normally i have no problems when converting wav files to brstm through BrawlBox but every so often one song will have a little bit of static upon conversion. Does anyone have an idea as to what causes this?

Do you hear the static in BrawlBox or in-game? If it's only in-game, you'll need to delete the file from your SD card and copy it over again.

I'm sure it has something to do with the bitrate of the wav

iirc converting a wav over 44100 bitrate will cause it to sound static-y.

I get this issue every now and then when I make loops, and sometimes you can change the loop point very slightly (like ~100 bits) in either direction and it can miraculously get better. So try shifting the loop point a very tiny amount, reconvert the BRSTM, and see if that helps.

I want to say there's some bitrate/frequency explanation out there that can explain all of this, like how a higher bitrate has more chances for uneven loops (like 44099 or 44101) that just translate as noise in Brawlbox or something like that.

Loop point "popping" isn't a result of bad bitrate, just imperfect looping.
