Competitive Coin Mode?

I know coin mode is an novelty mode, but smash bros was originally a novelty game, so i think taking coin mode to the next level would be a great idea.

What do you mean by novelty game?

A novelty is something new... so, yeah, originally everything is a novelty because original things are new and synonymously novel.
Unless you meant novel in another way.

Not really. Diddy would work too well.

It could be a funny side-event at tournaments, but unfortunately I think people would be too reluctant to bother entering compared to regular modes.
