Coin launcer problems

Okay, this could be a stupid question that everyone figured out the day after the game released, but I havent been on the boards for like a month so give me a break
Has anyone figured out what to do with the big purple orbs in the coin launcer. I tryed shooting into the slots, I tried charging my shots. Are they just there to piss you off?
What is their purpose?

You can shoot over the holes, so they aren't as bad a nuisance.

I guess you could use the orbs to deflect your coins towards a trophy if you're a good shot.

They can't be shot, they're there to get in your way of a trophy or enemies you can shoot at.

They're just there to get in the way, and block things such as trophies, also does anyone know when you have gotten every trophy from coin launcher.

I do believe Sakurai just released the entire list of trophies on the Smash Bros site.
