I'm pretty sure kirby has an unbeatable tactic where he can stand by the ledge and hold B and you can't hit him without getting sucked up and then he can run off the ledge and kill you both. My friend did it to me 10 times yesterday and I lost because whenever I tried to hit him with a pokeball or motion sensor bomb I missed and now I'm not the best on my block anymore

Actually, Kirby can suicidecancel att the bottom of the screen, killing the opponent, and surviving himself. Not sure why but I think it´s because the hitbox of the opponent is below kirby.

EDIT: There is no reason for puff to be on the ledge when the opponent don´t guard it, and not approaching as puff(or anyone else really, even if puff is good for creating the situation where the opponent wont approach) until like one minute left.
If cliffhangers would get restricted as a camping tactic, platform camping should get restricted (since both "can" be beaten, even though I´m not sure about the best ways against platformcamping)...

respawning gives you a whopping 120 invincibility frames

I don't think planking is relevant. I don't think it will ever become a game-breaking tactic as long as there are smart and talented players attending national level tournaments. It is certainly considerable as a strategy at points through out a tournament but. .that's the old addage of "play to win"

I said it before but its not even worth discussing anymore at this point. There's no point arguing over "if then" and "but that" statements. Let's just wait till Genesis and we'll see what's what after that.

I wasn't saying that platform camping gives you invincibility. I was giving other examples of things that DO give invincibility that we don't ban because that'd be stupid.

The fact that grabbing the edge grants invincibility is beside the point. The fact that it is so easy to take the edge for invincibility is the problem. You can't just use throw invincibility out of no where, abusively, in a 1 v. 1. The two other examples are laughable and you didn't even mention rolling and sidestepping.

Small correction: it's in the same place as Kirby. So Kirby and like 6 other characters die during the same frame, so Kirby can't save himself. Larger characters like Bowser give Kirby 3 frames to save himself. I don't know why the hurtbox doesn't interact with attacks while inside Kirby.
