CEO Pools Released, $5,000+ for Smash, Over 340 Smashers

CEO has released pool information for players including their pool assignments and what time they will player. 246 Super Smash Melee players and 238 Project M players have signed up for the largest fighting game tournament east of the Mississippi. With these attendance numbers only Street Fighter IV has more entrants (366). UMvC3 was fourth in entrants with 215. There are over 340 unique Smash players between Project M and Melee, making CEO 2014 the third largest Smash tournament of 2014 after Apex and SKTAR3. The tournament will be livestreamed by VGBootcamp on Twitch!



Smashboards is partner with CEO and has included a $500 prize bonus for the Project M tournament. This Project M tournament now has total prize pool of $2,880. Melee will have a prize pool of $2,460. Together, over $5,000 will be up for grabs

Bottle openers? What...? But dang, I would love to have a SmashBoards backpack. It looks pretty awesome, plus my current backpack is broken.

so where are the brackets for pools? also are pools streamed? if so every one watching will know what a scrub I am, yay for first tournament being a major. . .

I misread the article, I thought that $5000 was contributed to the pot. $500 is just as good... not really though. Either way, why was the $500 not split $250/$250 for both games?

also, for what it's worth, the T-shirt stuff from earlier adds a bit to the Melee/Project M prize pools

SKTAR 3 had over 460 unique entrants tho (jus sayin :p)
