Can't use Wiimote?

So I have that new-ish Wii, the one without GCN ports, so I can't use GCN controllers.
I loaded the hackles Full set, and tried to use the Wiimote to navigate.
Wiimote will not connect.
Is Project M not compatible with the Wiimote, or did I do something wrong?

EDIT: Never mind, got it working.
