Smash Wii U Can we coin a new fan name for Super Smash Bros for Wii U?

We had "Melee" then "Brawl." Someone on a different site pointed out that this Smash Bros doesn't really have a single, easy name to refer to it. Is there a fan term being used for it already? Is it "Smash 4"? "Smash Wii U"?

Melee 2.0 + Brawl 2.0 = Smash 4.0

That's why we call it Smash 4.

It's always been "Super Smash Bros. 4" or "the new Super Smash Bros." when I talk about the game IRL.

When people are referring to the games they'll always say 64 Melee and Brawl. And this one they can refer to it as Clash!
Or maybe the Wii U version can be called Smash bros. Universe (U being wii u)

I just call it SSB4, it's simple and easy.

Collectively, the games are just SSB4.

Individually, they are SSBU & SSB3D.

However, you can also refer to 3DS as SSB4 and Wii U as SSB5. They -are- different games, despite the shared roster and a few stages and Sakurai HAS referred to them as the 4th and 5th games.

Obviously "SSB" in all those names can just be said as "Smash" or "Smash Bros" or the full name.

These seem to be the most generally accepted/universal terms.

Yeah, Nintendo ****ed up with the name. ****ing stupid and ruining a great series of names. Such a ****ing ****ty name. I can't believe they did it. It's not even a real name! So just Smash 4... everyone should and is calling it that, don't even know why this thread exists.

I once proposed "Fire" for the 3DS version and "Ice" for the Wii U, based on the coloring of the games.. but it never stuck.

SSB4 is fine... and if DLC is added, It'll be $$B4.
