Can i play project m on my wiiu with gamecube controllers?

Hey all,

So ive gotten project m working on my wiiU, but it doesnt seem like i can use the gc controllers with it. Does anyone know of any way to get the GC controllers working on wii games on the wiiu?

The GC adapter can't work for Wii games unless Nintendo updated the firmware to allow it to.

Tried all day yesterday, saw a thread on reddit saying it's just the launcher that recognizes unfortunately.

Yeah, until Nintendo updates the Wii U to allow Wii games to recognise input from USB controllers, you can't use them for PM.

No I think that when they say they updated it to use the adapter, they meant for dolphin only, but if you want to use a gamecube controller, I think that the ones that plug into wii motes work, but I'm not sure.

It works on the Wii,as well! That's what I use to play!
