I did this by accident while warming up my hands

It resembles a wavedash back to ledge grab. I have no idea how I did it, all I remember is I input a cape near the ledge

You dashed towards the ledge, dropped off, and immediately used a cape, which snaps you on the ledge.

This is actually very well known. Caping next to the ledge forces you to grab it via magnet hands. Reminiscent of Brawl's Cape planking except way worse and harder to control.
