Smash Wii U C-Stick or Analogue?

My cousin and I use to duke it out in smash, and it get crazy. But he always told me to use the stick for smashes but I'd always tell him that I liked the smash attacks with the analogue stick more. I feel I can keep my finger positions on the buttons better which keeps me from freaking out when I have to think quick. I believe in the end it's just what you prefer, but I'm curious what others think. Competitive/ party/ and casual players, which do you prefer and why? I doubt I will change my mind, but I just might.

P.S. I know the mains are displayed in your icon area, but if you could say the main you associate the c-stick with would be awesome. Just to see if characters affect your choice.
