C. megalodon: extinct or alive?

Well, part of what I read was that if they did survive in the bottom of the ocean, the cool waters could slow their metabolism, so they would not have to eat as much. Still, that is very far fetched, and until their is a sighting, the safe assumption is that they are extinct. I actually think that their may be some truth to that they evolved into the modern day Great White Shark, which don't grow as big probably because they did not eat as much. As cool as it would be to see one, I feel a lot better about taking a dip in the ocean, knowing that their is not a 60 foot dinosaur swimming around. Still, it is fascinating listening to all the different theories on the Megs, I do agree though, don't think they exist anymore.
