So I was fooling around with customs and discovered something cool. Being unsure if it was known or not, I attempted a quick search to see if I could find any threads related to this, but didn't find any.
Still, this may already be known, so I apologize in advance if it is.

I found that Sonic's Burning Spin Dash if you cancel either the aerial or grounded versions with a jump just as the move tries to launch you forward that it will actually transfer its momentum to your jump.
The timing's fairly easy: just jump exactly when the "boosting" sound clip would play.
-If you do it way too early you will jump vertically with almost no horizontal momentum at all.
-Doing it too late will play the "boosting" sound clip and you will just have your normal jumping speed.
-Doing it correctly will launch you a little over half of Final Destination's distance at normal jump height.

I'm unsure as to how close this is compared to his running speed (I barely ever play Sonic honestly), but I'm fairly certain that its amongst the fastest air speeds in the game.
I'm going to continue messing around with his customs to see if I can find anything else.

Can you please provide a video?

Also, it's Burning Spin Dash. Spin Charge is the Down-B, which doesn't have a burning variant.

Ah, my bad.
I fixed the typo in my post, any chance the title can be fixed?

I will.

*edit: Technically speaking, its a momentum exploit and not a glitch.
Just a heads up for anyone intending to bring that up.

Fixed.

Just uploading a replay to YouTube should be the easiest.

If it's the one right before you started taunting, that's a Spinshot.

I side-bet myself 100 dollars that it was just a Spinshot.

I just kept 100 dollars, baby.
Does the Spinshot work in midair as well?
Everything you need to learn about Spinshot can be found in my tutorial video, which can also be found in my stickied Guide/FAQ thread.
