Brawl Freezing

After downloading Project M and playing a few games.I went back to play some Super Smash Brothers Brawl and my game freezes making it so I can no longer play Brawl. Why is that is freezing. Should I be worried that it will corrupt my Wii U. Make it so I can no longer play any other games?? Someone please help me out here?

Did you leave the SD card in your Wii U? If so, just take it out while your Wii U is off. Start up Brawl like normal without an SD card and there should be no problems.

Usually the game will freeze if it is looking for an assets (textures, characters, stages, etc) and doesn't find one in the place it expects it. When you have the SD card in your Wii U Brawl is simply reading assets from the SD card instead of whats on the disc.

Don't fret - it's scary to see your console freeze up like that, but it should be fine.

If it is freezing with no SD card in there, then you may have a bigger problem like a scratched disc or malfunctioning laser.
