well first off,

no more ganon punches, they are 2 slow they dont work and playing someone who is actually good they will not get hit by it.

dont use his up-tilt either for the same reasons as the ganon punch. also fYi it only his people on the ground not in the air.

us ur up airs more and dont be scared to go off the map to hit your opponent. ganons recovery distance has be incredibly buffed. other then that watch melee ganon matches and see what they do then try and do the same in brawl. a good example is exhibit a: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZTafM98Mbio

I don't think it's a particularly good idea to emulate what Melee Ganon can do in Brawl because they're supremely different from each other. However, the previous advice good: less Ganon Punches and Up Tilts, but add some UAirs. Use his amazing meteor smash to your advantage: chase him off the stage and finish the fight before it's even started. Also, make sure to only use his Dair under these two conditions: you know it's going to hit (which you kinda can't predict, but if you know the person you're playing never sees it coming, by all means, go for it), or make sure you won't suffer the abysmal landing animation (0:17 - 0:19 of your video is a perfect example of timing the Dair so you don't suffer from the animation).

More Neutral A's on the ground as well. It's a relatively quick attack with a decent amount of knock-back. This, along with the forward and down tilts: quick, effective attacks, and the latter goes marginally well with an UAir.

Hope that helps!

Sometime I have to play you. You play a good Ganon and I'd love to learn. It's 1am on the east coast, but maybe this weekend if you aren't busy with Easter stuff. I feel Ganon is crap, but you make him look very good and I won't give up on my old Melee Main. I'll PM you sometime if that is cool and we can play.

Not really. Flick up on the control stick plus down on the c-stick. Practice for 20 minutes and you'll never miss one. Tip: Don't really "flick" the control stick exactly. Instead, try to sort of quickly roll the control stick up a quarter circle from the 6 oclock position while simultaneously pressing c-stick down. It's super easy, I promise. Everyone on the Ganon forums needs quit breaking their fingers and do it this way.

This method of lag-cancelling d-air is not favorable to me because you cannot DI much. Using the combination of Y or X with c-stick down is the most efficient method in my opinion because you are able to travel more distances while d-airing.

I can DI plenty using the c-stick method. You just have to angle the analog stick when you push it up.

How do you pull off that uair from the edge? I've been trying to do it, but I never go up enough.

Those videos were pretty good, but you wait for your opponent too much. If you get your opponent off the stage go out and attack him.

See I hear this all the time and I definitely disagree. Do you mean to say that my method limits your horizontal movement while performing the dair? I disagree. Running dairs? Simple. Dash, roll the control stick a quarter circle up from bottom while you continue holding forward, dair. Want a little less horizontal DI? Simple, it just requires a bit of practice with your dash-to-control stick flicks/rolls, and you can easily DI backward after the flick to adjust your momentum. You can keep as much horizontal momentum as you want and it is way easier on the fingers. It's practically HARD to mess it up, and you definitely don't give up ANY horizontal distance. The timing for flicking c-stick down is also super forgiving with this method because of buffering. Maybe I'm missing something? Falcon's auto-canceled dair works exactly the same. You can DI as little or as much as you want.

Maybe this is harder than I think, I mained a prolific DSHL Fox in Melee so it sure seems simple to me?

I wouldn't really consider braking the upward movement of your thumb from tapping upward, and then getting it FULLY into the left/right position in under 0.100 seconds "way easier on the fingers".

If his jump startup is about the same and the game reads initial jump momentum like before you're probably not getting ALL of the initial jump movement you could in some cases unless you go ape**** on your controller. It might not be an obvious amount, but if it's "way easier on the fingers" it's unlikely you're getting it COMPLETELY into position in time in every situation.

*Shrug* I've tested and experimented with both methods a lot. You are pressing forward the entire time during my method. The stick only needs move up just BARELY past neutral position. You are still holding forward during the entire motion to a degree that (I beleive) you can achieve 100% horizontal movement, or at least 99% virtually that, because you are only pushing the control stick forward maybe 5 degrees above horizontal.

Trust me, I'm not a scrub saying to do it a certain way just because it's easier-- I'm saying my way is both easier AND gets equivalent results. I am a very technical Smash Bros. player and I will ALWAYS do things the hard way if that way is better. But then again if you guys don't agree... well do it your way, it doesn't bother me, at the very least it's a good suggestion for someone who has trouble with the harder method.

Don't forget, you can also get back on the stage from the edge using u-air, d-air, b-air, and f-air. Careful though, only use it when you think your opponent will blindly rush right at the end of the edge.

It seems I overestimated the difficulty in simply using X to jump and c-stick to d-air like I originally did. Guess I wasn't really trying much to do it quickly the other week, since last night it was pretty easy and I'd sometimes hit the c-stick too soon even and need to do it slower =P

Heh the box edgegaurd in that first video is amazing, if only because I had no idea Snake could do that. But yeah, your Ganon is good, I dig it a lot.

you sound pretty interested in this topic penguins so what is your opinion on using your method to do SH F airs with wolf and avoid lag i play both wolf and the G man so if this is good for both i will definitely start doing it. (the reason i ask for wolf's is because it is not possible to use X and C stick -> ..... k well its possible just not comfortable). why does when i type w o l f it says kitty..

when you short hop dair that other ganon several times in a row in the first video it kind of reminds me of the scene in the Leperachon where the leperachon is pogo-sticking that coin collector to death haha

quick question: is it difficult to do the lag free short hop dair with the c-stick? i can do it 100% of the time with the A button but it seems like it sacrifices some horizontal movement. Is there any tricks to get better with the c-stick or is it all about speed?

Mine is mapped to L. It's tough to get the timing down, especially online. (Thanks for the button lag Nintendo). Give that a try

It's not too hard to use X to jump and flick your thumb down to the c-stick to d-air. You just need to be quick about it. I often do it too fast and need to do it slower so I'm not hitting the c-stick before actually leaving the ground and doing an empty shorthop. If you can't do it but wish to do it that way just work on getting faster since it's certainly possible and then some.

I don't know you personally Bizzaro but...I love you. Lol nice vids, its really cool to see a very good ganon. Plus I've been wanting to see OoS instant shock wave (insta-aerial vB) in action for a while now. It works fairly well apparently.

Very nice Ganondorf Bizzaro! I'm trying to get that good as well, but I have a habit of attempting to land the Warlock Punch/Volcano Kick a lot as well

**** nice bizzaro, been driftin to other char boards that are considered "low tier" (me too, being a sonic main). I love using ganon just for fun, its awesome somones owning with him, hope to see more of your vids. Tiers imo create stubborn opinions and really kill diversity of competition. Ppl just have to think past melee and adapt to the new ganon like u did, well done.
