Axe, famed Melee Pikachu main, will no longer be a part of MVG as confirmed earlier today on the MVG Twitter account. As quoted from the announcement Tweet: "MVG League and Axe have mutually parted ways. MVG wants what's best for Axe as a talent and a person. We wish him the very best!"

With Evo 2015 upcoming, speculation has already started on who might try to court this Smasher with a potential sponsorship as he is a very exciting free agent. Stay tuned to Smashboards for more news on any future sponsoring in Smash!

Both games can have sponsorships lol. Companies looking to sponser players want their product to have exposure, they don't care where it comes from, and they certainly don't see smash 4 and melee as enemies... just as two sepperate opportunities to sponser talented players.

Axe is riduclous. Best melee pikachu of all time and that takes dedication, and he still plays it as his main and wins. I'd say him and weston are both huge threats at any national, and axe brings a lot of hype, always has. He deserves the very best of sponsers because he has a great image and playstyle.
