- However, in a slight deviation from the ruleset above, we're experimenting with flexible set lengths in Melee. Essentially, until Winners/Losers finals all sets will be 2/3, unless the set goes to 1-1, in which case the set changes to a 3/5. In this scenario, the ban that has been placed on the set becomes irrelevant and you play the rest of the games as a typical best of 5 set.
