Anyone know if the original GCN controller or the SSB4 GCN controller is more durable?

Hi

I'm asking if the OG GameCube controller is more durable than the Smash 4 one.

Since November I've been playing both Melee and Sm4sh competitively and I've now f***ed up this controller to the point I can't shield any more, so I'm trying to see which of the two will last me longer. Anyone know?

As long as you don't buy a 3rd party controller you should be good as far as I know. I havent researched much myself, but I imagine the old gamecube controllers and the new ssb4 controllers are more or less the same.

I've tried a new one on both games. They have wonky L/R buttons. For Smash 4 it doesn't matter too much, but for Melee you need an original.
