A weird yo-yo incident.

I think he means when you hang it off the edge.
When you hang the yo-yo off the edge it does NOT do damage most of the time because of the new ledge grabbing mechanics. I'd say that it's worked for me 1/100 times when I've done it for some reason which I still haven't figured out.

It doesnt hurt opponents the same way in Melee, but it still does. No matter what the opponent does while they're hanging on the edge, if the yo-yo is charging there, they will get hurt somehow. If they attack, get up, or jump, they get hit by the charge. If they roll behind you, the backswing will hit them.
