2GGT: FOW Saga Feat. Nairo, Keitaro, SS, Z, Larry Lurr, VoiD K9, falln, and More!

Last time on 2GGT: EE traveled from the far-off lands of Maryland to commentate a tournament with 196 of the best mortals to ever Smash in SoCal. Titans like ZeRo, Keitaro, VoiD, Larry Lurr and more battled in this arena, where not even the commentators were spared. EE took on the likes of DC, D1, BAM, and Gunblade in their own commentator round robin.

On this episode, FOW travels from the City of Lights to bring the power of Ness down on SoCal. Can any locals take him down and defend their house? What of the other challengers approaching from far-off lands like Arizona and even Mexico? Who will survive the epic 8-man Smash Ball battles planned before the top 32? Find out by tuning into 2GGT: FOW Saga on March 26th, streamed by 2GGaming and eSportsArena. Want to learn more about the epic battles to come? Read on...

2GGT: FOW Saga Trailer

Over two hundred entrants have registered to compete at 2GGT: FOW Saga from many regions, making this the most stacked event for 2GGT to date. The players of SoCal don't just have FOW, the legendary Ness main that placed 5th at Genesis 3, to worry about. Top players from many regions are coming with a fire to take down SoCal and reign supreme thanks to an initiative by 2GG. 2GG offered a carpool + discount so that those with four or more people would get 50% off their travel costs and have housing found for them to stay. Let's look at the prime candidates to take down SoCal.

Arizona: Traveling in from Arizona is Panda Global's own SS. Among the best Villager mains in the USA, SS has been training at the hyperbolic time chamber that is Sky's House and will be looking to come in guns (or slingshots) blazing to take the competition. He will not be the lone player from Arizona, however, as Saiki, currently power ranked 10th in the state, is also planning to attend. Will Saiki's newly nerfed Sheik still hold up, or does he have a new character up his sleeve?

Nevada: FOW isn't the only powerhouse heading out of Nevada. Some of the best players in Vegas and Reno are set to attend this extraordinary event. Z, currently ranked third in Las Vegas, will be bringing one of the best Pikachu's not named ESAM to the event. Chair, power ranked 4th in Reno, will also be bringing an impressive Peach. Among the other Nevada players set to attend are Limed, edgar, Douglas, Gloomy, Lumen, Pollo, Navi, PX, Black_DynoWright, S.O.R.A, Skinney, and Granny Smith. Can the combined might of Nevada make a dent in SoCal?

New Jersey: Keitaro comes back for another 2GGT saga and another chance to try and take the crown, but an even larger opponent looms in the distance. Nairo, among the best Smash 4 players in the world, is set to attend and is confirmed to be teaming with FOW in doubles. Will anyone be able to match up to their might?

Defend This House: SoCal's Threats

With all these players traveling to take them down, who will be able to potentially stand up to these titans and bring home glory for SoCal by finishing in first place?

The first to watch out for is Larry Lurr. With his wide variety of characters spanning from Fox to Sheik and even Donkey Kong, who knows what this powerhouse that placed 7th at Genesis 3 might pull out? With the recent patch, he may even have other new characters at his disposal to take these players on with.

2GG's own VoiD is also another name to watch out for. Even with Sheik being nerfed, he has recently shown that he can still dominate with the character by using her newly buffed down smash to secure kills and his own unique style of play.

K9sbruce (A.K.A. K9) is a man with the dream to become the next King of Smash and has another chance to show he has what it takes at 2GGT: FOW Saga. His trademark Sheik has recently been hit with nerfs, so it will be interesting to see if he can still place high or if a secret secondary is pulled out.

With Rosalina and Luma being untouched from the last patch, it may be time for falln to really shine. He placed 7th at ESAM saga and 4th at EE saga; could this finally be the time to break into the top three or even take it all?

Other power ranked players in SoCal are coming to do battle as well, including Mr. Concon, Nicko, Aphro, Zenyou, SM, Charliedaking, and Angbad. However, three other challengers may have something unique to bring to the table with this newest patch as their characters have received serious buffs.

Jonny Westside, The Samus That Shook ESAM Saga, has another saga to shake up ahead of him. The changes for Samus have been massive and are available for reading in the 1.1.5 community patch notes. With this huge slew of buffs, we might see a rather uncommon character in the top 8 and beyond if he's playing on top of his game.

Palutena has received buffs as well, and TLTC hopes to put them to work at the event. His Palutena has been able to get surprising placements before the buffs; could he possibly make a big splash at the event?

Rich Brown may be able to take his recently buffed Mewtwo to new heights as well. While he also has an Olimar to bring out, a heavier Mewtwo with faster run speed, a shorter up smash, and a larger hitbox on his neutral air are sure to take down some unsuspecting opponents and potentially some Smash veterans.

The easy way to get someone to win their own saga is to skip to a ZeRo saga.

Saiki is actually ranked #2 on the latest AZ PR, and Keitaro lives in SoCal now
Angbad, SM, and Charliedaking aren't ranked anymore on the SoCal PR as well
