I was Kirby for the entire tourney. Played two matches with Marth, but the rest Kirby.

We have something called a meal plan on campus. Once i put money in to it, I don't get the money back. and I don't have much cash. The diner closes at 7:30 on saturdays, the tourney didn't finish until 8:30, and i had to stay there much later cleaning up all the trash and **** everyone left. If i hadn't grabbed something I wouldn't have eaten for the ENTIRE DAY. I'm sorry, but me having at least dinner when I hadn't had lunch or breakfast for this tourney is the least you could let me do.

edit: I had a huge rant about how i basically spent my day from about 8 to 5:30 working and not eating, and didn't have breakfast or lunch, but I decided i you saw it you would just ignore it and then say I'm a noob or something. To sum it up, I devoted hours to this and you wouldn't give me 15 minutes to not fast for the day. Next time the tourney will have a half hour break after teams because we won't be running an hour and a half late due to Maryland Day traffic and bad directions. I will give directions based on major roads from both major entrances to the campus. You do have a point, and people will be encouraged to eat during the break.

Btw, for everyone who brought food down, which I am certainly all for, please throw your **** away. There were two trash cans and a recycling can right by the exit hallway,as well as more while leaving the building, but after the tourney rebel and still had to pick up pizza boxes, diner cartons, and a ****load of cans and bottles. If you need it to be even more convenient, we'll put trash cans right in the middle of the room. People do forget trash. I forget trash, as Rebel has oh-so kindly reminded me. But it is irritating if EVERYone forgets their trash. I'm willing to clean up, but make some effort to walk over to that trashcan.

oh and MD is gonna come back. We will be shaking **** up.

wow you're like the whiniest SWF poster in history. seriously dude i didn't go to this tourney but from people i did i heard bad things (bad directions, tourney hosts not answering their phones, sh*t like that). how bout you just get your act together instead of crying about how you only got to eat one meal at a tourney? ive gone over 24 hours without eating at a tourney before (it was an MLG event) so quit your b*tching, thanks

Let's all agree that putting tourneys together is alot of work, and the first one both is more work than you expect and never goes as well as the following ones. To ChRed's credit, signals are incredibly spotty on Maryland campus and I doubt he could have anticipated the bad signal in the room the tourney was in, and the directions were not perfect, but it can be confusing to give directions on Marylands campus. I'm sure they will do better next time.

On another (lighter) note, any CP smashers want to get together for a few games? I'm in Courtyards and need some decent guys to play against.

To my credit, I don't have any missed calls to my phone. Well, one, but I returned it right away. I'm just curious, why would you go 24 hours without eating? It doesn't really make sense.

I can also only think of two cases of bad directions. One was azen and mild, the other was thesage. I wasn't the one who dealt with azen and mild, so I don't know what happened there. The sage metroed, and when I wasn't sure what to do, I gave the phone to voodoo. Who then gave good directions. I'm curious though, in azen and mild's case, they didn't know how to get on campus, let alone how to get to the building. Mapquest can get you on campus. After that, like I said, I'll have typed up directions, for both metro and cars, as well as for parking. Part of the problem with the map we put up is that although it labels parking lots, it does not indicate which are permit only.

All in all, we ****ed up alot. Sorry. I already did say in several posts where we screwed up and what we'll do to fix them next time.
