I finally got my imported brawl yesterday and decided to upload some matches after of about 5 hours or so of playing. We plan on recording often so we can learn from our mistakes and improve on what needs to be improved. Very impressive guys, some of the best I've seen so far. All that edge guarding you guys were doing was just sexy. =P

finally some good edgeguarding . few people understand that staying on the ledge waiting for your opponent is now useless with the huge priority edgeehogging has.

These are the best videos I've seen so far. I laugh at those who say great Melee players won't have any advantage at the beginning of Brawl.

What's you and Hugs' opinion of Brawl so far?
Not so sure about hugos opinion i know he likes it but has a few concerns, as for me, i love brawl. i miss the tech that was in melee because i love fastpaced ****, but i can tell that once I start learning more about what moves do what and when to use them the game will be much faster. Overall its just much more fun, IDK if its cuz melee is 7 years old or not but i realy enjoy playing brawl.

Nice vids, this shows that brawl can and will be competitive.
Of course it will, afterall it is still a fighting game, someones gotta win and someones gotta lose.

Well, I think brawl is a lot of fun, and it feels so fresh because I have an actual drive to win again.

Though it was a bit frustrating to me at first. I don't like losing.

More matches will come up as significant improvements in our playstyle are made.

Look at 2:19 in the third vid. Olimar short hops and uses a Pikmin as a bodyguard from the projectile. The waddle dee goes back towards Dedede, almost hitting him in the process. It seems as if Pikmin can reverse some projectiles. I am curious to see how they interact with others.

Great vids guys, thanks for sharing.

Nice videos, this is some of the first competent Samus in brawl stuff i have seen. She doesn't look as bad as some of the stuff I have heard about her, but it is still a lot different then melee.

Says a lot about Samus players in Brawl, then. :\

Edit: oh wait, you were talking about a completely different game.
LOL give it more than a day yea?

AND NO they are not absolute oppsites they share more similarities than differences.

Ita still smash, just without alot of the tech.

Love your Dedede, so exciting to watch the edgeguarding.

I wonder how other less mobile characters will work off the edge tho.

I think he could have avoided the hit had he rolled out of it right away. Tripping sucks but being able to quickly adapt to the unexpected is a skill too.
Tripping happens so fast and randomly that there are bound to be times when it ****s you over no matter how quick-witted you are. Still, I haven't seen anyone lose a stock or even be severly punished because of it til this video so I doubt it will be too much of an issue, mostly just an annoyance.
