Hello guys !

Remember Famitsu's informations on top killing moves of every character ?

I did (almost) the same things for Falco.

The percents are calculated with this settings :
- On the center of FD.
- On Mario.
- On a CPU Lvl 9 (Famistu used a lvl3 CPU...)
- Le DI and air dodge are taken in account !
- Smashs are not charged.
- NKP = No Killing Potential (more than 200%)

Falco said:
Up Smash : 122 %
Down Smash : 160% Direct; 154% non direct
Side Smash: 115%

Up Tilt: 159%
Down Tilt : 157%
Side Tilt : NKP (216%)

ANA : NKP
AUA : 139%
ABA : 158%
ADA : 183% (with ground) [Spike]
In conlusion, Falco's three best killing moves are :

1. Dair, which is a pretty strong spike
2. Side Smash
3. Up Smash

Ok. If you want to compare with fox or Wolf by example :

Fox said:
Up Smash : 93%
Down Smash : 152% Direct;
Side Smash : 129%

Up Tilt : 154% (back), 189% (in front)
Down Tilt : 192%
Side Tilt : NKP (+250%)

ABA : 133%

Wolf said:

Down Smash : 118%
Side Smash : 149%

Up Tilt : 130%
Down Tilt : NKP
Side Tilt : 199% (...)

ANA : NKP (200%)
AUA : 166%
ABA : 152%
ADA : 181% (with ground) [Spike]

Nice info there.

More proof that falco's fsmash is awesome.

And in terms of speed and power, falco is quite a good mix between fox and wolf.

These do not include DI. When you hit a computer in training mode, it does not DI. It also does not include momentum stopping moves, like Jumping, Dairing, or whatever. I'm working on a more accurate list.

Yes, Lvl9 CPU does use DI + Air Dodge.
I can't see the advantage of doing a list which includes stopping moves (or everything else), because mine list is used as an indication of knockback ;)

But of you do an accurate list, i would like to see it ^^

i have got to disagree with this, in my opinion the 3 best (in no order): front smash, down air, back air. or at least these are the 3 i usually use to kill. id add up smash but i think front is better.

^ Good luck hitting with fsmash against good players
2 things I do to hit with Fsmash are:
1: Punish rolls (especially after a dair on high % percentages)
2: Punish an Air dodge

and believe me, this also works some times on actually good players ^^

I can confirm this sadly.
heh, you're the same jumpman online falco player?

but anyways yes, those mentioned ways are how I land front smashes. It also can be used as a ledge guard when people are trying to come back.

No, I'm not. I'm a Dutch MK player. About the same level as Gmoney (Falco).

Gregs (gmoney) is argueably the best falco in holland, and jumpman the only MK that can use him to a high potential.

just to say, don't take their opinion to lightly :)

Jumpman when did you get purple? Gz :)

Thank you for clarifying Falco's moveset to me. I'm making a transition from the 64 to Brawl, and I need to get rid of some bad habits :).

Dang, 64 to Brawl is going to be hard, they're basically opposites.

Get used to the huge difference in hitsun xD

edit:

Blad01, can you add stats on Falco's Bair?

id say falco has a chance if u know how to use hime well he can become a feirce oponent but if ur ok with him and if ur up against a good brawl player theres no chance even with trying to fsmash!

confirmed. Sending Supplies.
Falco's Ssmash has tons of potential. It has an invisible hitbox, great range (not including the invisible hitbox), a hitbox behind him, it's decently fast, and it has great KO power.

I think the best kill moves would be

1. Side Smash - I kill with this 90% of the time I even use it.
2. Uair - It's quick, got a nice hitbox, and is good with airial mindgames.
3. Bair - Personally, I love this move. It has good spacing, minimal lag, and good priority.

Kill potential isn't all about power and knockback (it is a great factor however) but also it's playability.

Aaaah, I stand corrected. I was under the impression that I wasn't doing very well with Falco due to the fact that I was using too many of the heavier attacks and I was resorting to the faster ones. I was doing the right thing after all. I'm reading your guide on Falco at the moment and I think I'll soon learn how to use him properly and successfully. :)

Yeah I'm the mod here, you can check a room's mod by reading the list of moderators at the bottom of a page.

No Typ_Ex, you cannot be a moderator.

Blad mods Europe, he isn't really that active in the competitive Brawl scene anymore (study and such).

Also, unless you've got something actually groundbreakingly, drastically new on this topic (that's legitimate), please stop posting in it.

I want to shy away from locking old threads that were of decent worth, but it seems like I might have to if this keeps up.

SHDL has the highest kill potential.
