  • Reverse Up Air beats almost every recovery in the game, and is a much stronger edgeguarding option than stomp in nearly every matchup. I can do that part of the matchup just fine, I just can't get the **** spacey offstage in the first place.
I'm worse at the Fox matchup than any other Ganon I've ever met. There's just something about it I don't get, I guess. :ohwell:
It's OK. I can just beat you in person so you don't feel the Wifi is responsible. :)
Ever try racing with one of the normal chocobos? One that isn't 'good' or 'great'? It's awful. It's like trying to eat soup with a knife.
hahaha yeah, stupid slow "other" chocobos. As long as one other one has finished you can hit circle and skip the rest, I think. Maybe I'm just imagining that, though.

Teiro was a beast, and for some reason my black Chocobos were almost always faster than my Golds ended up being. I wonder if that was unintentional "racism"...
he is but never talks in it, nor have I seen him on SWF in awhile

i actually think I have his phone number, so I'll hafta call him sometime
btw, we need to get another tournament goin in Warsaw, so next time you see/talk to Pat... ya know what to do! :D
hahaha, best 3 messages to log into ever.

That sounds a lot like one of my crazy dreams, but mine involved the Knights of the Round being a baseball team...
Haha yeah, Sheik goes even with Olimar. If Sheik gets in, she has the tools to never let Olimar get out, which is a biiig problem for Oli in the matchup. Her jab shuts down just about all of Olimar's close range options, and her ftilt does as well but not as hard. Her Nair is a really safe approach, since if it hits Olimar's shield, she's able to jab before he's able to hit her with anything. Sheik's a monster at gimping Olimar, and her chain destroys him, as an edge guard. Granted, Olimar still has quite a bit on Sheik, but all in all the matchup is roughly even. However, most Olimars agree that Judo's the only one that knows how to play the matchup right XD So if you decide on picking up Olimar, you may want to talk to him.
I think Catastrophe is technically the best, it hits 20 times. It just takes a whole lot longer than Ungarmax does (Ungarmax hits 18 times), so people like Ungarmax. Next best besides those 2 is Highwind (18 hits), then Omnislash and Doom of the Living (Yuffie's 2nd level 3) at 15 hits. Then Stardust Ray (10), then Tifa's (7). Cait's and Vincent's are unique and weird, and Aeris' is just insanely good while you have it.

The easiest way to get sources is morphing all the baddies on the Gelnika (sunken sub) - each one gives a source of some kind. Once you've boosted someone up, one morph from them is enough to kill the baddies and then it goes faster. It takes forever and a day to do, though, especially if you want to max ALL the stats for any given character.
I used to be one of those anal-retentive FF players that would max absolutely EVERYTHING on a playthrough, so I had max stats on my preferred characters from the 'source' items. So Cloud, Barret, and Cid were the "best" for me. I always end up using Nanaki anyway though. ;) I think technically Stardust Ray (his 2nd level 2 limit) is his best if you have really high stats - hits 10 times (Earth Rave hits 6 or 8 I think, can't remember).

If I were to play through it yet again (which I probably will sooner or later), I'd probably go with Cloud, Nanaki, and Cid just for fun.
Yeah, it's just a quick little quip like "This is Nanaki, also known as Nanaki". I almost always name him after my dog or my Grandpa's dog.

Too bad his limits are so bad compared to the rest of the roster. :(
oh, go fox, kirby has very little to approach with, and against good olimars he can almost never get in, fox has approach trouble as well, but has better options compared to kirby >_>
lol, no need to be so formal sounding xD

and as for the questions, um, considering from personal experience the kirby vs. fox match-up is at-least somewhat kirby's favor, i would say to stay him, but if fox is just a problem for you personally with kirby, then i can recommend using olimar, he at-least has somewhat an advantage

also, for the wifi question, with very rare exceptions (online tournies with prizes, a little on AIB ladder when money is on the line) i don't play wifi anymore, unless someone requests to play with me
So I logged on and saw a message from you.

    It was from June.

    ...I'm disappointed in myself.
you're more coherent than most native speakers

That's what everyone says to not make me feel like a moron. :<
He better cry and you better video tape it. Actually regardless of how he reacts, you better video tape it. I've never seen an Aeris' death reaction vid before and I don't think any have been made.
If I bought the version of the game that came out in Portugal I could only play with European people. I have a lot of american friends.

Australia has it worse, if they use their version of the game they only get to play against themselves and south korea, lol.
