Yeah it's interesting. He insists he doesn't hate Melee, just, uh, every discrete aspect of Melee, I guess. But he's a friend of mine who lives far away so I play with him anyway. In real life he's fun and chill. I think netplay brings out the least fun parts of Smash for some people.

While you're at it, you might wanna go ahead and not play Mewtwo either. Personally, I think playing through all the single player content is a good way to learn the game from nothing. No C stick in single player is a real drag though.

I play somewhat frequently against someone who told me he hated all the top tiers. The list of characters he hates and complains about has been expanded to include Mewtwo, Samus, Doc and Pichu.

Really nice to see this. The more women we get involved in the Smash community, especially in public-facing positions like commentary, the more diversity we'll draw in. I hope to see a ~50/50 split in my lifetime.
