Chances are translations will be all over the internet even whilst the event is ongoing. I'd post them here, but the Direct is at midnight here in the UK, so... nope!

Tell me about it. Chances are good they're completely different to the characters they're supposedly clones of. That said, there's no way of knowing either way, so we'll just have to wait and see.

There's no way Sakurai would leave the roster looking like that anyway. I have no doubts that every single pixel on the character select screen will be filled with characters to select.

Smash 3DS is definitely not a glorified beta. It's clear that just as much effort has been put into the 3DS version, if not more so than the Wii U version, especially with modes like Smash Run.

Given Smash 3DS' very close Japanese release date, I'd be surprised if there wasn't anything Smash related. That said, given the fact that the Direct is still Japan only, I wouldn't be expecting any reveals if I were you. Of course, that could change if Directs were announced for Europe and...

I'd find it kind of hilarious if we got an announcement, and it was a character nobody predicted. Like Daisy.

I've never been a big fan of voice chat in games. Especially with random people. I'd be okay if it was included, but only with friends, like Mario Kart 8.

I was a little upset with this roster when I first saw it, but it's grown on me. It helps that I really don't care that much about clone characters. Heck, Ness and Lucas were two of my favourite Brawl characters. The Duck Hunt Dog still bothers me a bit, I'd much rather have the Ice Climbers...

Definitely Luigi's Mansion. Although would that be a Wii U stage because the series began on the GameCube? Either way, I'd also love to see a Professor Layton stage. Pretty unlikely, I know, but... that series is one of the biggest series on the DS/3DS. Besides, I'm still secretly hoping Layton...

I'm assuming Luigi'll be a secret character as usual, so attempt to unlock him. Then... I'm actually not sure. I'll probably try to unlock everything whilst trying out the new modes and playing the single-player stuff.
