Pikachu's design just lends to things that make characters good. He's flexible between offense and defense, has a good recovery (range and mixups), and lots of ways to finish stocks without much risk. It's kind of hard to nerf a small, fast character meaningfully.

I know people probably don't like tier talk here, but you're doing yourself a favor by picking a strong character early on. What's important is to look at what makes characters good, or what a character lacks that keeps them from being good. If a character can't reliably recover, seal stocks, or...

Usually when DLC is sold in seasons there are multiple seasons. I'm 50/50 on whether that's actually going to happen, all things considered. It would be hard to not add more if you were Sakurai and could come up with another 5 characters to add.

Guys, can we stop acting like you need to love everything about the game as it is? I understand all the "**** Sakurai, preorder canceled" stuff is annoying, but let us have some actual discussion. I am very happy with the game, but learning that one CG trailer is ALL the story we're getting is...

If that's the case, why is Nintendo so adverse to Geno? His cameo was even removed from the remake of M&L Superstar Saga. I think SE has a lot of control over him still. Maybe Nintendo has no such deal with them, so he's still as much work to get as any third party.

Dark Pit has set an unfortunately low bar for echo fighters. We still don't know where DSamus and Richter sit on that spectrum, but I kind of expect the Belmonts to be that close to identical. I think people have been acting too entitled lately but you went too far lmao

Considering we did get our forced Pokemon rep at the end of the day, we're due for a forced FE rep through DLC. Fortunately we're getting 4 more characters so there will be some good ones.

Honestly slimming down the collectibles which do nothing is a fine move. Brawl had both trophies and stickers, and Smash 4 had all those customs and equipment.
