    Why UpThrow over DownThrow?

If that's true, I think it's because up throw combos stay guaranteed longer, or offer the opponent less opportunity to DI away. I'm not entirely sure though, going based on feel here.

Data Rosalina & Luma's Frame Data [Deleted]

One of Luma's downsides, it can't spot dodge. What happens is Rosalina dodged the attack, luma gets hit, which then extends the hitbox thanks to hitlag in time to catch Rosalina when she reappears. This also makes her standard ledge getup significantly more risky than the rest of the cast...

Zooning... nuff said. Rosalina Dtilt Analysis / Discussion

Against a lot of the cast, d-tilt sets up a tech chase at a distance where she can cover every option. Covering the most common option of missing the tech, along with tech roll backwards with a boost grab ( it works OTG ) means conversions off this move can net quite a bit of percent. It's...

Meta Rosalina Match-Up Analysis R2 - Rosalina (Mirror Match)

The matchup is quite frustrating to play, as it's the one case where being without Luma makes you a strictly worse character than your opponent, and the relative ease Rosalina has in killing the opposing Luma means this matchup is a case of whoever can snowball their lead harder. The most...

Setting up Luma's spinning jab, the most consistant set-up so far?

It's faster than grabbing the ledge and sets up Luma in the best possible location while the opponent is offstage. Seems like such a good move that I can see this practice becoming staple amongst competitive Rosalina mains. I'm really looking forward to seeing this tech explored more. She...

    Q&A The Rosalina Q&A Thread

There's a write up on this subject somewhere on this forum ( search for luma spin ); I'd post the link, but I'm on mobile at the moment. In short, it's possible to desynch the two characters by locking luma into its rapid jab animation. It's easy to accidentally start when inputting the jab...

    Q&A The Rosalina Q&A Thread

Watching Dabuz's video guide is a decent place to start. I'd link it, but posting on mobile at the moment. Up throw is usually going to combo regardless, but if they're throwing in down and back throws with the hope of comboing, you'll generally get away just holding away and mashing jump or...

    Secondaries for Rosalina

In short, yeah, I couldn't think of a better secondary to pick. It's eerie to think about, but many of Rosa and Fox's aerials, normals, and specials fulfill nearly identical purposes, and playing Rosa aggressively will often have very similar inputs as a fox. Aside from their kinda similarity...

A small universal tech(just hint atm, instructions later:P)

I'd hate to take a random guess when I haven't seen it myself, but is it something similar to the tech featured on the main page a week or so ago? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfkip-BwL_w&index=11&list=PLFXOgPi6_N5Q1AR3Z9l549HBoZzpBAz0h Rosalina has a very short end dash animation, and...

A small universal tech(just hint atm, instructions later:P)

Hate to be a bother, but would someone with video ( or GIF ) making abilities post a short clip of the tech here? I don't really have access to Wii U replay channel, and I'm very interested in learning potentially new mechanics. Would be much appreciated. ^^

    Q&A The Rosalina Q&A Thread

It's a combination of two things: - Doing any aerial while Luma is tethered, but not directly next to Rosalina calls it back as early as possible. The mechanic is most obvious when you're hit with a smash attack and Luma chills next to your opponent afterward until you input something. - A...

    Q&A The Rosalina Q&A Thread

Video by Falln. I'd recommend watching the whole thing if you want to get a feel for how separate Rosa + Luma can be played, but the setup in question is the last stock of the video. https://youtu.be/n6hroiNkCZ8?t=8m40s

    Q&A The Rosalina Q&A Thread

Wouldn't shock me. Rosalina can already throw out lagless Luma aerials while landing, and a perfectly timed down or neutral air certainly gives you a good opportunity to either grab, or read their forced defensive option. For someone considered a highly defensive character, she's definitely not...

    Q&A The Rosalina Q&A Thread

Luma does technically have attacker hitstun, but it doesn't transfer to Rosalina. So hypothetically if Luma were to land a forward smash on shield, Rosalina might be able to forward smash again immediately, but Luma would still be stuck in the animation, desynching them slightly. Not sure if...

I believe you can tech it ( but generally you can assume people won't ).
