Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

If you set your system date to January 1, 2000 and initialize the browser data, you can use the QR code on 10.5.0-30. I was able to get it done last night, so as long as you don't have the most recent update, it's still possible to set SLAJ up through browserhax.

Q&A Bayonetta Technique Compendium and Q&A

I was in training and noticed that if you double jump and immediately use up B, you can jump again for a total of 3 jumps and 2 up B's. Here are links to two gfycats comparing the height of double jump into up B and the regular up B, since I don't know how to get embedding to work...

Possible Marth tech found? (video inside)

I already mentioned the fact that you go into a standing position after doing this earlier in the thread, which you can do anything out of, and that I had inputted another dash after it. I'll update the gfy whenever possible. Now that replay uploading is possible, it would be easy to get a...

    Current thoughts on Marth's position.

It's not exactly an either-or; a character's potential affects their matchups with others. Tier lists are essentially characters ranked by how they would do in tournaments when played to their highest potential, and a character with better matchups across the board would be closer to the top.

    Current thoughts on Marth's position.

I think he's high mid tier. He has amazing conditioning tools, great kill potential, and some useful kill setups that bring him up significantly, but he's missing a few big things that high/top tiers have. His throw game is mediocre, with Dthrow -> Bair or Uair being his best combo (even then...

Possible Marth tech found? (video inside)

Wow, just realized that it's been over 2 months since I've come here. I've stopped using Marth as much (I used to play him in almost every match). I main Ryu now, and Marth is a sub. I thought of using Roy over Marth once he was released, but using one of them destroys how I play with the other...

    Data Ryu Combo Thread

Sourspot Nair can combo into a ton of stuff when approaching. It can directly combo into any special (didn't test focus attack, but I'd assume it wouldn't combo), or you can do U1, D1, or jab directly after landing and continue with any of those moves' combos. On Bowser, you can even do Nair ->...

Possible Marth tech found? (video inside)

I can't test it out on the 3DS, otherwise I'd try. Mine died a while ago after trying to unscrew it (pressed down too hard on the inside screws). I assume it's doable but harder on the 3DS, though, since the controls aren't as good as the Wii U. There aren't any ATs that are exclusive to one...

    Official Seizon Senryaku: Marth General

Where do you usually play, Viper? I use his Utilt and Ftilt regularly outside of FD when the other person is above, since they both can tipper easily through most platforms. On flat ground, I occasionally use it against bigger characters for coverage, like you mentioned, since it can hit them...

Possible Marth tech found? (video inside)

That sounds like the best explanation for it. I found out that Wario has a similar tech with his bike, and the slowed-down footage at 0:32 in this video showed that his jump was cancelled as his foot hit the stage. It seems like this works the same way. It definitely would be an awesome mixup...

Possible Marth tech found? (video inside)

The same applies for all techniques in any fighting game. You need to practice certain movements before applying them in serious matches, since trying to immediately pick something up, such as wavedashing, will result in failure more times than success. I fail to see how that doesn't apply here...

Possible Marth tech found? (video inside)

I wasn't able to get it often at first, either, but the timing got easier with practice. I can get it around 3 out of 5 times now after minimal practicing (15 minutes at most). And just for convenience, I'll refer to it as ledgedashing for now, since it's essentially the same thing as in Melee...

Possible Marth tech found? (video inside)

Just as a disclaimer, this appears to be fairly situational. As far as I know, it can be done on all stages, but on all except for two or three, it's not practical. Also, I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere after trying to find it, so I don't think it's been discovered already. I've seen...

Mewtwo combo & tech sharing thread

On topic, I've found that you can mix up throws if you have a fully charged shadow ball by doing back throw -> SH neutral B. Throws them away, then the shadow ball glide lets you chase them easier. If it isn't expected, you can get a followup aerial on them fairly easily.

Mewtwo's Shadow Ball Glide + Up B Ledge Cancel + Double Jump Cancel + True Combos!

You can use a reverse side B -> neutral B if you want to play it safe, since confusion gives you a small boost and changes your direction in the air.
