  • Long story short: Fox in the right hands is a beast. Zero Suit Samus is a disadvantage, and Marth a slight one, but it's no "lol" matchups. He has quite a few of those, though. Hence he's Mid Tier, not High Tier.

Frame 3 is, by the way, extremely fast. There's almost no attack that comes out faster than Shine.
There's two characters with Infinites on Fox, which are Pikachu and Sheik. Neither of these two characters are played fairly often, and neither of them place constantly, either. Except for Anther.
From what I've seen of the sheik vs peach match up if peach is hovering at sheik head height and approaches sheik has little safe options against the onslaught of her dair and fair. The dair beats sheik ftilt and out range/speed the utilt(I think the utilt can beat it but I'm not 100% right now) fair and bair can work but peach can then fair you which has more range then sheik fair, bair does work but peach fair can beat it ..I think. Peach bair is a ****ing wall though, sheik can't beat it really. Thus I adopted the chain which works better then everything I listed.

Vanish works wonder as well and I'll imagine strong nair OoS after the dair would also work if you got the timing down if it's even possible. Although her nair will beat it. I'm rambling, I haven't talk smash in a couple days, sorry.
I use it all the time against peach, it's fairly effective since her counter doesn't come out very fast which allows you to get multiple hits, also they will be most likely di up which by the time sheik chain cannot hit them anymore neither can their counter.... Although if they di away they can hit but when I fought dark pch at COT4 he rarely did that but in time I imagine peach main will start countering the chain.
I don't know Diddy. I do know how footstool works and it is leading me to find a lot of new combo's.

    Basically the timing is this:
    sheild> analog> c-stick
you have to use the analog first and then the c-stick

    Hope this helps.
can you seriously get by without spamming side b as ZSS? cus ive never seen it. also. snake and DDDs up tilts are strong they kill almost every other character at 110 or below. the only move ZSS has that will kill an average character at 110 is her down b, and that has to be a sweet spot spike off stage. none of her other moves will kill at 110 onstage either,

which leads me to the conclusion that ZSS doesnt have strong attacks
Yes it does matter which attack. You see decay is strange in the way that it only decays the last 9 attacks. And from there it works as if it were counting down.
ie (these are not true numbers)
The last attack performed is decay 9 and the one before was decay 8. Well that means that it is 9 + 8= 17
However the next attack will make the, move down (unless it is the same attack in which it adds more decay). So The decay would then be 15 instead of 17.
Confusing at first but you'll get used to it.

Yes.. switching to Zelda resets all decay.
Doing it as fast as you can is fail. You will never get them that way.

Basically it is all about timing. I do however say that this technique is VERY hard so it will take you a while before you can footstool.

    ps try MK
yea. go to training mode. Set the CPU on "jump". When he jumps, you jump right on top of his head and press jump again. You will understand once you do it
Its not my video- and commentary is in the background because the people who recorded the match wanted there to be.
Commentary is awesome- you can hear people's reactions and thoughts instead of just seeing a match.
supposedly meta knight's sword works differently from any other physical attack. it has 'transcendent priority' meaning it will go through attacks, but it won't go through most projectiles (like Kirby's aerials can beat most projectiles, but MK's won't)

what will usually happen I think is that if say, Kirby uses Bair on MK, and MK uses Fair on him, they will trade hits if each is close enough to hit the other. I guess.
It's just easier for MK >_>
It sounds like you don't have much experience.

I think that in theory, MK is nearly unbeatable, because he has so many options. His attacks are fast and some of them are literally unpunishable unless you predict them. Not only are they fast, but they all have good range since he like, has a sword and stuff.

But in reality, nobody's perfect, and even the best MKs frequently lose (though not as often as I'd like)

I voted that he shouldn't be banned, but if the big upcoming tournaments show clear MK domination, I might consider banning him.
What the smash backroom says is basically guidelines, you don't have to do it their way, but most tournaments will be under their rules. So if some tourneys ban MK, that's cool, but the people that go to other tournies with MK in them won't have as much practice against MK.
