I completely agree. Accept I don't think they should tamper with any of the characters because most of the die hard fans are used to SSBM and wouldn't like it if they crapped fox and sheik down. I don't think they want to ruin this franchise by removing a bunch of characters either.

Since Falco shines up and Fox shines to the sides then Wolf could have... diaganol. But I doubt he would even get a shine since he's on a different team rivaling star fox haha.

I'd say he'd be a stronger and slower version of fox. Like Dr. Mario slow. But i would cheese myself if they had team star wolf in SSBB.
