  • Just tell him to f**k off. Either that, agree to brawl him, then let him get pissed as you sit back here and do nothing.
that's were you go wrong. You can't compete than play for fun, you play for fun then compete.
Then lose your mind, people came up saying, you suck, get lost, Sonic is crap. But I stuck to it. It's not a winning mentality, it's a mentality to endure everything then dish it out later.
oh. I see. Your a tier list follower. I played Sonic loooong before his rise to the mid tier. Then I play Ganon because he's fun. And you know what feels good? Playing to have fun and destroying someones Meta Knight with Ganon. You need both to have either one.
Not all the n00bs who run around trying to knee everything than complain he sucks. There are no unique characters.
captain Falcon? Out of all those who actually use him, how many have you seen that are good?
hmm. Ike is a bit advanced but so is everyone else when you think about it. Try Captain Falcon, has killing power, has good speed, not much to him.
Hah, plans are for n00bs. see, waaaaayyy before I got in to tournaments and actually being good, I had fun. If you say, I'm going to compete today and win, your out of your mind. That's like getting your driving license but wanting to fly a plane. And button mashing is fine as long as you know what buttons you want to press. And a plan in Brawl is pointless. You can never count on your next attack hitting since you may trip, since you may be in a different stage then your used to, since you may be playing someone who knows your character inside and out better than you do.
trust me, I went through the same. There's a point where you stop and say, f**k the system, I'm in this for the lulz, then you start playing for real.
hmm. odd. Your getting frustrated at all the technicals; lag start up, cool down time, tilts, just let it go.
are you insane? I can barely beat PolarBear if that. Your trying to fly and you still can't walk. And most Mario users know that Mario has something that actually looks like a combo so they rack up damage like none other. Plus they gotta be good to use Mario, he has a very intricate style that takes tons of time to master.
If he gets pinned against someone hes a good match up against. Go ahead and try wolf if you want.
dunno. Anyway, yeah, he'll be happy to mentor you if he makes it past round 1. If not he can't teach and actually has to be taught.
You have to be a member to be in there. It's a sure fire way of telling your in the group or not.
Sorry, I thought you ment Melfice invited you to the site, you can accept his friend invite, that's fine.
No, just stay away from registering from the site and it'll be okay. You can still look at it though.
Okay. Now about Ike, he's slow. Use that to your advantage. When your going straight for a dash attack try to make him crouch while running and while he's sliding use the Dtilt.
Melfice Z said he invited you, but don't register.
Yeah, one thing, make sure never to register on the site before you an official member. It'll be up to me to ban you until it's time for you to join. You'll be invited to our social group then you can register.
yes, but it never hurts to lighten the load of a mentor by being a bit better. And of course, being a member of this clan means participating in tournaments which will give you a rank.
it will. Until then polish up your Ike. When I'm not online and I have a few minutes to burn I practice short hops and such things in training mode. Try changing the time to 1/4 it's original speed. it helps a lot with timing.
I do. I made the rules. your already on the waiting list for it so your spots reserved. the link is highoceanrepublic.wetpaint.com Besides, the other co founder of the clan is away so were waiting for him. By the time he gets back it'll be the 18th or 19th so that'll be less time to wait. then the tournament will take a bit over 2 weeks since it's wifi based and people get on at different times. So then by that time you'll be able to register as a member.
I'm just telling him that I'd like him to train you. He accepts. All you have to do is be ready to register as a member. do you know the site already?
Scratch that, can't right now, have to talk to girlfriend in a bit. But yeah, we'll do battle some other time. I need to learn Ganondorf. Believe it or not, he's half decent when you get the hang of him.
Dunno, Usually your stuck with the person you use first then you learn the game mechanics then start using your real main but then again you can always start from scratch. If your up to it I could let you see how some characters are used and what disadvantages they have..
Not at all. And yes, Arch Knight can be that way. Wolf is a very tough character to use since he has a poor recovery. It's really easy to gimp him. Other than that he's a tank on the ground but if he's in the air he's a glass canon, too heavy to be KO'd easily but too heavy to get back up on stage
Don't worry, you'll get better. There's a guy, Arch Knight, first guy I ever played agaisnt online, he schooled me in every match, not even able to take out one stock. Time passed and we brawled again. I took out 2 stock but lost every game. Time passed again, we played, lost a few but managed to win a few games too. Moral of the story, play not to win but play to improve.
Basically. That's how I met Sonic, I got use to Ike's start up lag so Sonic's smaller startup lag was appealing since Ike's took more time.
When you get good enough another character catches your eye. Switching just takes some time.
Only if you want to. I use to main Ike but switched to Sonic and seconding Ganondorf. After playing online you sort of get a feel for certain characters. He's good but good players also have other better players to worry about.
Well, the tournament placement will be random and he might get stuck with someone who knows how to beat him. yeah, we're also looking for other people to main different character to have a bit of diversity but people who main the same character will like having a sparring partner to improve there own character.
naw, if he gets past round one of our tournament then he'll be a sort of mentor and as such he'll be your teacher, either that or you get chosen by someone else. He'll be excited to teach you.
He's very talented. Melfice Z easily puts my best to shame. He's a good guy, a little busy but you should do just fine with him.
Other than that they all have a large time to start up but do good work with quicker attacks in Ike's arsenal.
