How do I approach Olimar? I'm having trouble getting near him and he can rack up damage on me really fast before I get a hit in.

I actually approach my enemy with my back turned towards them so I can get a bair in if they are in the air. Same works if they are on the ground but sometimes you can land behind the opponent and just grab them instead of throwing out an attack.

Practice your short hop fast falls. If you can do that, you will be able to combo people a lot more

I always mess up the spacing on the nair. How do I prevent myself from getting grabbed after a shielded nair?

I think recovering high is viable when your opponent wants to get greedy with a dair or something else offstage.

Can you buffer dashes after the throw?

The way I approach a Pikachu is with dtilts and low ftilts unless the pika is jumping around a bunch which is likely, then I start throwing out some ftilts for some spacing. This matchup is crazy hard for me as well though.
