This is how I feel too. I know they’re all equally important, but having 4 fighters that are visually almost identical isn’t as fun as having some unique side characters in the mix. Two turtles and a villain or two would be the best scenario in my mind.

Oh I agree. I’m just saying that, in hindsight, the Ridley thing probably shouldn’t have been nearly the debate it was (at least not based on size alone). Fighting games usually have to make all sorts of power-scaling exceptions anyways. If I pick this up I’ll be playing a lot of Reptar for sure.

I’ve really enjoyed trying them out. The switching between styles is a lot of fun, and it’s nice to see a growing Nintendo series get some more love. Also they came with lots of fantastic music.

I mean, for me personally, I’ve always considered them Smash 4 A+B. Same game, different versions. The 3DS version ended up being more of a hype-sustainer than anything for me. I haven’t picked it up since the WiiU (and Ultimate) versions launched.

I’ve seen a lot of people taking shots at elements of the 3D All-Stars games, and I don’t 100% get it. I mean, sure, every game has things that could be improved, but those games are all fairly old, so holding them to some of the more modern standards for platformers seems a little pointless...
