How to get into your zone (by a casual player)

How to get into your zone (by a casual player)

To start off, I am NOT a competitive SSB player. I am simply a casual player who likes to play VS. matches with tournament rules. This guide is meant to show a few things I do to play slightly better/get into my zone. Secondly, here is what I mean by "My Zone":

The Zone: A state of mind where you play better than you usually do. There are several things I do to get into the zone, and i'll show a few here.

Method 1 - Music
If there is an easy way to get into the zone, it's to play music. Play any song you like, but if what you like has a slow tempo, it might be harder to get into your zone. So try to play some fast-paced music. Of course, there might be a few people who play better with slow-paced music, so don't ignore this tip if you like slow music.

Method 2 - Turn up the volume
This is pretty easy. Just simply increase the volume of your TV! If you can't do that, go to the sound settings and change the sound volume to be significantly higher than the volume of the SFX and voice. If you can't do that, then maybe put your game console somewhere else where you can play music louder (like in a bedroom). If you can't do THAT, then maybe you could turn the volume on the TV completely off and play a song on another device (ipod, iphone, ipad)

Method 3 - Think of something epic or a great event in your life
This may not work for you, but it does for me. Basically, I think of something epic i've seen, like an amazing boss fight I played through. Basically, anything that gives me goosebumps when i think about it will help me get into my zone. Like I said, this is very subjective, as some people might not have anything that gives them goosebumps!

I hope this guide may have given you some ideas on how to improve your game by getting into "the zone". It's my first guide so cut me some slack! I may improve this guide if I find something else that gets me into my zone. Thanks for reading! Also, some of these things might not work on older SSB games, so keep that in mind!
