I would say 85 out of 100%. I like the idea of Meowth, Scizor, Mimikyu, Scorbunny, Shadow, Dr.Eggman, Edelgard, Crash and Bandanna Dee in the roaster and would be surprised if Sora joined the fight. But I would miss Jigglypuff, Pichu, Corrin, Chrom, Isabelle, Incineroar, Piranha Plant and Byleth

my idea for the roster of the next smash bros, urshifu is a placeholder for a new pokemon
keep in mind this would be a soft reboot so most if not all veterans (say for perfect ones like k. rool) would have major moveset changes

9/10 cinderace wouldn't be my choice for a galar rep and cloud seems unlikely but i like toad

the starting roster for a smash bros game with consistant rolling updates, adding characters

9/10 A little weird not seeing Villager in base, and I’m unsure how the fans would react if Sylux is in but not Ridley.
This is my attempt at a redone Brawl roster doing just two changes, keeping to the 7 ”modelled“ fighters and 2 third parties.

I'll give it an 8.5/10 as it added the ones who missed Melee due to lack of dev time (), but I wish there was on it, especially with that roster having a roster bigger than Melee. Here are two more Melee rosters that I thought of.

9/10 having so many villains is far from a bad thing (also JSYK on my last one Sheik was replaced with Mewtwo)

What if Brawl's roster was more or less around the size of Smash 4's? (the new additions mostly take inspiration from various old Brawl-era threads on this very forum, and attempting to add to certain quotas and all)

10/10: You did an ”Everyone is Here,” added the other glaring omission for Brawl (Villager), and added some fun, quirky choices like Glaceon (one of my favorite Eeveelutions with Vaporeon and Espeon) and your retros.
For fun, I made an Ultimate sized roster based on sales of most Nintendo franchises (3rd parties are the same as Ultimate’s). I put G&W and Duck Hunt with the other one character series since Idk how to add more fighters for these.

Pretty much everyone as of the latest update is here. Only taking off points because Dedede is missing from the real roster and the final one may very well be bigger.

Since alternate takes on Brawl's roster have been done here and on another thread, here's my version of it with 64 and Melee's in mind:

TLDR; Mewtwo returns instead of Sheik, Pichu returns instead of Jigglypuff and has Plusle and Minun alts to represent Gen 3, the four new transformation characters are cut to make room for Toad, K. Rool, Ridley, and Villager.

Though Yoshi is absent, I'd argue Wario was more of a priority at the time. And yes, I'd take Excitebiker over Jiggs anyday.

Since there are a few Melee rosters here, why not do one where the game was never delayed?



Sheik is cut so that can Ganondorf can have his own moveset and Banjo-Kazooie are here under the assumption that they can be negotiated for before the buyout, but who knows if that would prevent it? I only added Snake and Sonic because they were requested. Otherwise, I would've cut them because I feel that third parties would warrant a bigger roster.
