Just took a look at your recent post activity and saw what happened.

Honestly, your intentions aren't awful with the whole adding back Lucas thing... But It is true that people can easily take issue with your main argument being solely honouring Iwata.

I honestly don't think Iwata's legacy would be more or less valued by adding one character from a game which didn't make It overseas into a crossover fighting game.
I find It more meaningful when say, the Mario Movie ended with the credits featuring "former Nintendo president: Satoru Iwata". Because he did have some input back then on the movie, and he for sure would have loved to see the final version of the movie. Or even that old Switch Easter egg where by doing the Nintendo Direct pose with the joycons you got to play one of the games he created while an interview with him played on the background.

Basically what I'm trying to say is... There are better ways to pay tribute to Iwata than adding a let's say It, obscure character for casual audiences, into a game where we already have many characters associated with him.

That wasn't the only thing I mentioned, though. I just threw that in as another possible reason for keeping him in. I also pointed out how fans love the series and would love to see Mother 3 gets localized and Lucas being in Smash already gave the game some exposure to its content that it wouldn't make any sense to cut him from the roster, even if Sakurai didn't intend to add him before.

And I had mentioned Iwata and while there were some disagreements (which I had no problems with), there's no reason for anybody to what I said as me "using his death" to argue for a character's inclusion. I straight up said that it would probably be a tribute to him, as this is not even something I'm personally suggesting. It's just an idea. And it's a darn tribute, which is usually a positive thing. Turning that into something negative like that had to be intentional. But as you can see two people did do that later on and neither one of them own up to it. They just went silent about it after that, even though they should've cleared that up. I see another side of them now and I don't like either one of them for that.

This is a problem I have posters on this site. They misinterpret what people say and it's happened to me more than once now. I'm now convinced that these are not accidents. This is intentional.

Also, the people giving those posts Likes when you knew there were some ill intent behind them should be ashamed of themselves, especially when you didn't do the same for me when I explained myself. That's very cold of all you.
I think it's time for SEGA to make these games a reality.

There's so much potential in a SEGA party fighter.

honestly all-stars soccer seems like it could be really fun too

though yeah something like a party arena fighter could be cool

I don't get why neither one of those games happened. I'm sure they would have been great hits for SEGA, especially a party arena fighter.

And yet, they continue to show their characters together in games like in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania and SEGA Heroes. They might as well reconsider it now.

I wonder how much it'll take to convince them?
Just a thought but what if Smash Bros. gameplay was inspired by Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day? Specifically, the Battle Royal feature?

I know for many years people believed that The Outfoxies may have inspired Smash but think about it; this game features a 4-player fighting arena with items where, aside from depleting their health, you can win by knocking your opponents off the platform.

That sounds more similar to Smash Bros than The Outfoxies is.

I don’t even get the argument he’s trying to make. Sora in smash is bad because it distracts from SMT V even though literally any character who isn’t from SMT would do that? If a fighters pass addition is the kinda advertisement SMT V “needs” to succeed it must be in a lot of trouble now.

also nintendo isn’t even working with disney for their theme parks lmao

It seems like he truly believed that Smash Ultimate was going to be used as a marketing machine for SMTV, as if Nintendo was really treating the game as if it was one of their own, like Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He was also on GameFAQs talking about he knew the protagonist was going to be the last DLC character and that he could "prove" it.

Other than him not having any kind of real evidence and instead just doing all kind of guess work, he seemed to overlook the fact that Nintendo really had nothing to do with the game itself other than just publishing the PAL regions of it. Of course, he had been warned by everybody to keep his expectations low but he wouldn't listen.
