On stages with flat sides if you use up b while touching them sometimes you can't teleport upward. You just reappear where you started the up b and die. This is most prevalent on Dracula's Castle, Saffron City, and Green Greens.

Are you sure your input is 100% upward and not slightly towards the wall? If it's slightly towards the wall at all, then unfortunately that would be intended behavior, because it matches how it works in melee (a game without many flat wall stages :/ probably why). If you collide with a wall you don't slide along that wall in melee, that's only in Brawl.

On the other hand, if your input is 100% upward or slightly away from the wall, it's a bug. It's a plausible bug, since the game could be checking whether you collided with the wall and deciding yes, but its making an erroneous assessment because you were already touching the wall to begin with.

It's 100% On stages such as Green Hill, and WarioWare it works well, but the stages I mentioned it fails every time. CPUs fall for the glitch to. On Subspace Emissary Jungle in happens because of a tiny, jerkishly placed ridge on the side of the stage about half-way down. It's a glitch.

This was reported quite recently. If you end up inside the wall slightly, which happens when you upb near the wall, holding up will make you hit the wall and you go nowhere. The workaround is to just not hold a direction when near a wall if you want to go straight up.

OH MY WORD thank you! Bless you toaster, I love you! Now I can, arrrrghhh!! I feel freed from this prison of aggravating recovery fails. You have just earned a follower. Thank you so much. Does that work with that little ridge on SSE: Jungle?
