Announcement Wii U / 3DS Character Boards - CLOSED

After review and discussion amidst the staff, we have decided to close the Wii U / 3DS Character Discussion Board. The closure of this board will occur in one week after this thread has been posted (10/31, 12:00 AM EST); until then, the boards will remain open. After that week is up, the boards will become read-only and closed to normal users. Boards for characters in the game will not be affected by this change.

We strongly encourage the usage of Social Groups to continue discussion; any user can create one and they are easy to access. It also should be noted that, with this board’s closure, a new thread in the Wii U/3DS General Discussion will open up for DLC Discussion of all types, characters included.

We’d like to thank you as a board for sticking with us through the past few years and hope that you continue to use the site. However, it is time that things move on.

Well everyone, the time has come. It's been a crazy ride since E3 2013 when Super Smash Bros For Nintendo 3DS and Wii U was announced. We've gone through announcements, reveals, leaks, and four waves of DLC since then together as a community. On behalf of the SmashBoards administration and staff, we thank you for the countless memories created, whether it between friends, strangers, rivals, and for sticking with our site through the 2 years of Madness that was Smash 4 Speculation. We encourage you to stick around though, because even with this forum closing, Smash, 4, Melee or otherwise will go on for years to come.

If you'd still like to continue the speculation madness, there's always the new General DLC thread we have in the General Discussion forum here or check out our Social Groups, including this group for numerous Character Social Threads you can check out through here. Of course, the individual character discussion forums, and all other Smash 4 forums, be they general, online, or competitive will be remaining open as well for your browsing and posting pleasures.

We hope everyone enjoyed their time here and the memories forged together, and we hope you continue to be a part of our community, the Smash community, for years to come and continue making new memories and moments. With that said...
