Why don't we make... Sub-Forum Wars?

Why don't we make Sub-Forum wars? It would be fun! I have an idea that was originally to determine matchups (but was dished out 'cause inacurrancy) that goes like this: From each sub-forum, there must be a tourney of the same character to determine which are the best 10, and after it is decided that 10 best crew will challenge another subforums 10 best crews and they will fight against the opposite person that lasted in the same place! And the subforum that gets more wins over loses on the wars wins! What do you think?

Sounds very interesting! Everyone would be working together to collect matchup data and be having fun at the same time.
Of course, some threads are less active than others, and getting those boards to determine their top 10 players could prove to be a hassle, so their are certainly some problems that would need to be overcome.
I think this is a very wonderful idea though. Perhaps the character board mods could help in orchestrating this event?

If done correctly, this may allow players from either side to critically assess strengths and weaknesses of characters. It would require most of the boards to be relatively active with at least a decent amount of players who understand their main well enough.

Scheduling and organization might be a hassle, though.

Most likely due to its lack of any real competitive discussion in its original location. It sounds more like an idea that could incite collaboration between the different character boards.

You would need to present your idea to two (relatively active) character boards that would both agree to organize a "main war". Posting it in designated social threads should help.

There is a possibility that this might not work for a variety of reasons but its worth a shot.

The main problems with this IMO are
A) laggggggg
And
B) the Reddit main pages did/are doing something like this.
C) the best reps of most characters don't use smash boards but some do which may give inconsistent results.

I thought it would be a fun way to bring together the subforums and get some results, but it seems to be ignored so..
