Who was wanted back then?

So I've wondering, Which characters were wanted during the Brawl and or Melee days? I've been around since the 64 smash bros but I was never really someone who went on the internet until the days of Brawl. Even then, I hardly looked around. I was a lurker on this website for awhile before actually joining a few months ago. I've been looking at the most requested characters of today which is Ridley, King K. Rool, etc. Was this the same back then?

You can actually find out pretty easily for Brawl. Character Discussion board and its support threads are still open.

Pretty much. Many Character threads from 2006-08 can be found by digging through the Brawl Character Discussion forum (at the bottom of the page). Alternatively, there are enough people around during the original announcements/Dojo days that one can ask. Either way this doesn't warrant it's own topic.
