What if during the development of Super Smash Bros. Melee, the director Masahiro Sakurai decided to add some of the Beta and/or 1-player stages to Multi-player mode. They would all be accessible on the stage select screen in addition to the Multi-player stages and all stage glitches such as freezing, bad spawn locations, timer issues, etc. would be patched/ fixed for VS mode use and training mode use. Which of the following Beta or 1-player stages would you like to have playable in multi-player mode in addition to the stages already available?

Beta Stages:
- Beta Temple:
There is an elevator/ moving platform in the middle of the stage.

- Beta Great Bay:
The laboratory can be walked on instead of being a background element. You may have been able to go inside the laboratory.

- Beta Yoshi's Story:

- Beta Yoshi's Island:

- Beta Mushroom Kingdom:

- Beta Rainbow Cruise:

- Beta Fountain of Dreams:
The top platform is missing and the two other platforms don't move.

- Beta Green Greens:

- Beta All-Stars Rest Station or Mushroom Kingdom (Adventure):
Unlike the final version of Mushroom Kingdom (Adventure Mode) or All-Stars rest area this stage seems to be intended for multilayer use.

- Beta Adventure Mushroom Kingdom:
Non Playable (Debug Mode/Hacked) Stages:
- TEST:

- Zelda/Shiek's Debug Target Test Stage:
Let's assume breaking all of the targets won't end the game.
Non Functional (Hacked) Stages:
- AKANEIA:

- 10-2/ ICETOP:

- DUMMY:
Classic Mode:
- Snag the Trophies:

- Race to the Finnish:
Adventure Mode:
- Mushroom Kingdom (Adventure Mode):

- Mushroom Kingdom: Yoshi Team:

- Underground Maze:

- Underground Maze: Master Sword/ Triforce Stage 1 (Top Left):

- Underground Maze: Master Sword/ Triforce Stage 2 (Top Right):
[See Underground Maze Map Above]

- Underground Maze: Master Sword/ Triforce Stage 3 (Upper Middle Right):

- Underground Maze: Master Sword/ Triforce Stage 4 (Lower Middle Right):

- Underground Maze: Master Sword/ Triforce Stage 5 (Bottom Right):
[See Underground Maze Map Above]

- Underground Maze: Master Sword/ Triforce Stage 6 (Bottom Left):

- Brinstar Escape Shaft:

- F-Zero Grand Prix:
All-Stars Mode:
- All-Stars Rest Station:
Event Match: Trophy Trussle Stages:
- Event 14: Trophy Trussle 1; Goomba:

- Event 26: Trophy Trussle 2; Entei:

- Event 47: Trophy Trussle 3; Majora's Mask:
Stadium Stages:
- Home Run Stadium:
Note: in Vs. mode this stage would need to have accurate blast lines so lets say the right blast line is somewhat equivalent to the left.
Target Test Stages:
Note: if the developers were to include a target test stage in multi player mode I would assume they would add all or none so as to not leave any stages out. that's why there is only one option for target test stages in the poll.

Let's assume breaking all of the targets doesn't end the game.
- Bowser Target Test:

- Captain Falcon Target Test:

- Donkey Kong Target Test:

- Dr. Mario Target Test:

- Falco Target Test:

- Fox Target Test:

- Ganondorf Target Test:

- Ice Climbers Target Test:

- Jigglypuff Target Test:

- Kirby Target Test:

- Link Target Test:

- Luigi Target Test:

- Mario Target Test:

- Marth Target Test:

- Mewtwo Target Test:

- Mr. Game & Watch Target Test:

- Ness Target Test:

- Peach Target Test:

- Pichu Target Test:

- Pikachu Target Test:

- Roy Target Test:

- Samus Target Test:

- Yoshi Target Test:
http://www.ssbwiki.com/images/3/31/SSBMYo****T.png

- Young Link Target Test:

- Zelda/ Shiek Target Test:
Other:
- How to Play Stage:
Same as Pokemon Stadium.

- Movie Intro Stage(s):
Mario and Link face off in a flat walk-off coliseum like stage.

If I missed any stages please let me know. :)

Snag Trophies and the underground stages might be the only good ones for competitive play. Some of the others might be good for ******* around

If your into competitive stages only I would recommend you check out the following:
Legal Neutral Stages:
- Beta Fountain of Dreams:
The top platform is missing and the two other side platforms don't move.

- Zelda/Shiek's Debug Target Test Stage:
Let's assume breaking all three targets won't end the game.

- Snag the Trophies Stage:

- Adventure Mushroom Kingdom: Yoshi Team Stage:

Sorry for the poor quality photos. It was really hard to find photos of the Underground Maze Master Sword stages.
Use this map as a reference to find each of the six stages.

- Underground Maze: Master Sword Stage 1 (Top Left):

- Underground Maze: Master Sword Stage 2 (Top Right):
[See Underground Maze Map Above]

- Underground Maze: Master Sword Stage 3 (Upper Middle Right):

- Underground Maze: Master Sword Stage 4 (Lower Middle Right):

- Underground Maze: Master Sword Stage 5 (Bottom Right):

- Underground Maze: Master Sword Stage 6 (Bottom Left):
All of these would have been great neutral stages for competitive play. It's a shame we never got them as playable stages in multiplayer verses mode...
If only someone could hack these stages into the game and patch them for multi player use *hint* *hint*

I say All Star Rest spot, as soon as you land a hit you run to the cylinder thing and the match ends and you win. That's basically what Melee is right?

I believe the beta version of the All-Stars rest area stage was originally intended for multi-player use and didn't have the cylinder thing. Also when 20XX brought this stage to the multi-player select, matches wouldn't end if you entered the cylinder thing, similar to how breaking all the targets didn't end the game in 20XX as well.

Well I was mostly joking, but in my experience with the hack pack the map is a box with no blast zones and in a stock match when you run into the cylinder it brings you to sudden death and then ends the game if you do it again. But like I said it wasn't a super serious comment in the first place
