Either Marth wins +1 or it's even.

According to LordWilliam's frame data notes, swordfighter's attacks such as dtilt and landing bair are pretty safe on shield. He also gets some decent reward from his tilts and grabs. However, Marth seems to be able to play the spacing game quite a bit better. Swordfighter wants to space, but Marth does it a bit better, while swordfighter can achieve more damage off a hit.

Swordfighter's fair is surprisingly nearly just about as long as Marth's, but it's difficult to convert into much unless you land with it, then it *might combo into grab or dtilt. Swordfighter's uair onstage and dair offstage are also a pain to deal with. Swordfighter's utilt is also something that needs to be avoided.

Swordfighter will try to use projectiles a bit more. He can combo off of gale strike and string off of chakram.

Marth can easily keep him in a pressure situation as long as you don't let his nair or fair start up.

The recent patches fixed swordfighter's usmash and dsmash as well, so all of his smashes are potent and can kill early from a punish. Swordfighter's fsmash outranges Marth's entire kit, so that needs to be watched.

Not sure what size is best vs. Marth. 50/0 swordfighter may actually outrange Marth in a few areas while being slightly slower than him, while decreasing height reduces range and increases combo potential.

It's bizarre just how even this matchup can be, depending on the Mii's loadout, although I'm just going to consider a 50/50 Mii size here. A projectile is essential, and I've gotten a lot of mileage out of either a reflect or counter move too. The Mii must play more defensive than the norm, due to Marth's superior spacing game, but if the Mii gets it right, they can knock out the Marth sooner. Mii's Smash attacks, as san mentioned, put Marth's to shame, so at least finishing blows are much easier for the Miis. In fact, it's odd to see a character in Smash 4 that has more trouble racking up damage than finishing opponents off. :O
