trying to change classic controller button layout freezes game

whenever i got o options to change the button layout of the classic controller pro the game freezes and the wii makes a loud steady noise.

(sorry if this issue was in 2.1, ive never tried a classic controller until now)

Have you tried to redownload the files?

If so, have you done a fresh install (removing P:M completely from your SD card and reinstalling?)

not yet, i was waiting until i could confirm it wasn't a just a quirk of PM. Judging by your comment, im going to assume this is not normal. Now im off to reformat.
