Welcome the 7th, and likely final, iteration of the Smash 4 Social, where we share our joys, sorrows, angers, rants or pretty much whatever comes to our minds and we want to talk about it. People from all around the world post here, and thanks to them, this thread keeps moving ahead, despite having faced many periods of drought.

And now, we're at the final phase of this thread, which will last as long as there are people posting in it. Here's to an long life of the Smash 4 Social VII!

Over the last four years, we've made more that 500,000 posts which would have filled up more that 25,500 pages if it were all in one thread, and all threads combined, we've had an average of 335.5 posts (or 8.3 pages) every single day. Incredible, isn't it?

I've been playing lots of Smash recently. I'm stuck in a loop where I play a character for some time then switch to another. But I think I'm stabilizing myself with Luigi. He's a funny fellow.

Considering the massive backlash it has received, I think they will backtrack on it. I sure hope so, at least.

So, I've already posted this in two other threads, but since we're on topic, might as well post it here and get some discussion going. My thoughts on the Pokemon Go update.

What even was this update?

• No step tracker
• No Pokevision or similar tracking apps
• No sign of any form of free tracking coming back
• 100m scan range is now 70m
• Cannot hunt for Pokemon without wondering around aimlessly
• Experience bonus for Nice, Great, Excellent, and Curveballs removed

What the **** is wrong with Niantic? They've become worse than EA at this point. They're literally ruining the game by taking the point out of it. Like, there is literally nothing left to do at this point. You can't catch anything because once you hit Level 15-20 everything breaks out of the Pokeballs and runs away. You can't raise your starter and its only purpose is to be transferred for more candy. You can take a gym but there is no reason to hold it, not that it matters because you can't hold it for long anyways. You can't fill your Pokedex unless you live in a big city. If you want to find Pokemon, than you better Go sit at a lure because that's the only viable way to find Pokemon. Hatching eggs is barely worth it too because you can travel 2km and be lucky if 1.5k actually counts. You can't find any damn Pokemon because there is no way to know where they are and how close/how far you are in relation to them, and the only method to finding these Pokemon, being 3rd Party trackers that showed their location, was stripped away from us because 'hurr-durr but muh exploration", which is complete double standard because city-folk barely have to go anywhere because there are so many damn Pokestops while suburban/rural players have nothing for sometimes miles.

Like, do they even want people to play their game? Or was it just a "Get rich in one month" scheme?

I guess there are a lot of other parties involved in Pokemon Go so that statement is more in general than about Pokemon Go in particular.

It's a dumb update and the lazy way to fix that bug. I hope they backtrack on that decision because now it's really nothing more but a glorified RNG app that eats battery.

We now also lost the battery saver mode.
