Hypothetically speaking, say Sakurai would announce in a new trailer:

"Dear Smash Brothers and Sisters, I've been letting you all down in terms of revealing new characters for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U / 3DS. I know this, and this has been for a good reason: my hand hurts too damn much, and I simply can't concenrate on making Smash both a good game AND adding all your favorite characters. I mean, **** you guys. Asking me for impossible **** as King K.Rool, Ridley, Isaac, Sukapon and Takamaru while asking for changes in current characters to. A faster Ike? Ganondorf having magic and weapons? **** that. I'll make the game good, but: All characters from now on will be clones of characters who have been in previous installments. Expect no more than 10 newcomers from now on."
Who would you like to see as a clone character?

Post detailed posts about characters you'd like to see, and movesets fitting them.

-Two newcomers for a series / established franchise max.

-Just 3 of these new characters can be 'semi-clones' ala Luigi, Lucas, Wolf, Ganondorf and Falco.

-Revamping one of the old semi-clones into an original character takes away a privilidge to make a new Luigified semi-clone to. So think wisely.

-For Full Clones: All B moves should function and look like the character you are basing your clone of. Example: Mario's Fireballs and Dr.Mario's Pills. You are free to think of any additional effects though. And one ONE B move can be totally different, only if the current move of the character absolutely cannot fit (example Diddy's Rocket Barrels for Dixie Kong). You can also choose for 2 extra original moves : One Aerial, Smash and Ground attack can all be different to. Allowing you to use 3 Original Moves just on Full Clone characters.
Detailed and highly rated movesets will be added to the OP underneat:

Movesets:

:mario2::

Dr.Mario :

By Tepig2000:
I will start with the Mario series newcomer: Dr. Mario. He is a full clone. His stats are almost the same as Mario's, but he is slightly slower and slightly more powerful. No drastic changes.

Neutral Combo - Punches, punches and kicks. Just like Mario.
Side Tilt - A kick like Mario.
Up Tilt - A uppercut like Mario.
Down Tilt - Sweeps low to the ground with his leg, like Mario.
Side Smash - A super punch like Mario used in Smash 64.
Up Smash - A headbutt like Mario.
Down Smash - A breakdance sweep like Mario.
Neutral Aerial - The same as Mario's, but grows stronger over time.
Forward Aerial - Punches downward like Mario.
Back Aerial - Spins and kicks backwards like Mario.
Up Aerial - A flip kick like Mario.
Down Aerial - A spin like Mario.
Dash Attack - A slide kick like Mario.

Neutral Special - Megavitamin

The Megavitamin is more powerful than Mario's Fireball and bounces in a different way. It is also slower and has a different sound effect.

Side Special - Super Sheet

Deals more damage than Mario's cape.

Up Special - Super Jump Punch

No changes from Mario's.

Down Special - Dr. Tornado

Works like Mario's but is more powerful.

Final Smash - Viruses

His only changed special. A lot of viruses walk around the stage and latch on to enemies. They work like Olimar's Pikmin. Red viruses are the same as Red Pikmin, Blue viruses are the same as Blue Pikmin and Yellow viruses are the same as Yellow Pikmin.

:popo::

Kat & Anna:

By Gibdo Knight:
Kat & Ana as Ice Climbers Clone

they would be lighter, faster and have more traction. Unlike IC they would not specialize in grabbing, Instead they would focus on doing a lot of weak, fast attacks.

Most attacks have a little more range than Ice Climber's version because of longer weapon. Other than that they're like ice climbers attacks unless otherwise noted. attacks that work somewhat differently and/or has effects added are in blue.

Neutral combo: swing their swords in front of themselves, two attacks
Up Tilt: They thrust their swords over their head. Unlike Ice climbers they don't spin it, so it's a much faster, but also much weaker attack.
Forward Tilt: Similar to the neutral attack, but with one hand.
Down Tilt: They crouch and sweep their swords on the ground in front of them.
Dash Attack: do a short jump and swing their swords in front of themselves.
In all the smash attacks they charge their swords with electricity, and all of them are electric attacks.
Forward Smash: They lift their swords over their head, charges it with electricity, then smash straight down.
Side Smash: Charges the swords with electricity then swing them upwards.
Down Smash: Charges swords then they sweep their swords on the ground all the way around themselves.
Neutral Aerial: swing in a circle with swords outstretched.
Side Aerial: lift their swords over head then swing forward, similar to their forward smash.
Up Aerial: They stick their swords above their head.
Down Aerial: Hold their swords below themselves and fall downwards.
Back Aerial: They swing their swords behind themselves.

Grab: grab is the same, except only the leader can grab.

Neutral Special - Shuriken throw
Kat & Ana throw Shurikens. the move has much less startup than ice shot.
The shuriken moves similar to the ice shot, but don't touch the ground, don't speed up at downwards slope, stop at walls and upwards slope and of course can't freeze. if used in air they're thrown diagonaly.

Side Special - Kamaitachi cutter
Like Ice Climbers

Up Special - Rescue rope
Like Ice Climbers

Down Special - Sakura Storm
They shoot pink petals instead of snow, and instead of freezing it gives a short lasting flower.

Final Smash - Ninja Clones
Kat & Ana make two duplicates each, the pair of duplicates then start to do a Double version of their Assist trophy. the real ones can still fight while this goes on.
:diddy::

Dixie Kong:

By Louie G:
DIXIE KONG: A DIDDY KONG SEMI-CLONE

B: Bubble Gun
Dixie Kong shoots a gumball out of her trusty Bubble Gun. When a gumball hits the opponent, the sticky gum slows them down for a short amount of time.

Side B: Hair Flip
Similarly to Diddy's Monkey Flip, Dixie Kong does a flip in the air to land on the opponent's face. What differs from Diddy is that she grabs them with her hair. The throws have the safe effects, but the opponents are instead thrown by Dixie's ponytail. Pressing a button while flipping results in Dixie spinning around a few times, slapping the opponent with her hair.

Up B: Hair Copter
Dixie Kong's signature move. She flies upward while her ponytail spins in a circular motion.

Down B: Gumball Drop
Dixie drops a gumball on the ground. If an opponent steps on it, they are stuck in place for a few seconds, leaving them vulnerable to Dixie's attacks.

Final Smash: Victory Guitar
Dixie Kong pulls out her guitar and plays this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVN6_mtpSMo
Pink shockwaves surround her as she rocks out.

Added your moveset to the OP Tepig. Thanks for your contribution. Hopefully others will follow you. Feel free to list which other characters you´d choose to be a clone character to!

Thanks.
I'm planning to make some more:
[Collapse=List of characters I plan to do]
  • Shy Guy: Ness Clone
  • Isaac: Pokemon Trainer Clone using summons as pokemon.
  • Tingle: risk/reward Olimar Clone
  • Meowth: Diddy Kong Clone. Banana replaced with pitfall.
[/collapse] Also you misspelled Ana's name in the first post

Edit: Darknut done.
[Collapse=Darknut Moveset]The Darknut

Is a Slower, Heavier Clone of Link. its size make it an large target, but also give it better range. its shield is larger, covering almost half its height.

Neutral Special - Bomb Arrow
Fire a Bomb Arrow. The charging takes a little longer and it's range is slightly shorter than Link's, but it's stronger and explodes if it hits anything.

Side Special - Darknut Blade
The Darknut throws its large sword towards the opponent. It's much more powerful and do not return when it hits the opponent. If the sword leaves the screen it takes a few seconds before the Darknut gets the sword back
As long has the large sword is thrown, it use a smaller sword for all sword attacks. This sword has less power and range, but is faster.
[Collapse=Picture of swords]
[/collapse]

Up Special - Bat Spin
The Darknut attacks with a spinning slash, while unleashing a swarm of bats around it.
Its more controllable and has much better horizontal and vertical recovery. the grounded version can move horizontally. Only the attack at the end has noticeable knockback.

Down Special - Bombling
similar to bomb, but can't be picked up.

Jab: Does a shield Bash, good for follow ups.
Forward Tilt: Plunges the sword down.
Up Tilt: Swings sword in an arc.
Down Tilt: Swipes sword across ground.
Dash Attack: Swings sword from head to toe
Up Smash: Swings sword in an arc three times.
Forward Smash: Swings sword forward. If the attack button is pressed again, he swings a second time with more force. if using the large sword the second slash releases bats that pushes the opponent.
Down Smash: Swipes sword from front to back
Neutral Aerial: Does a flying jump-kick.
Side Aerial: Swings his sword twice while spinning 360 degrees.
Up Aerial: Swings sword above head
Down Aerial: Holds his sword downward. Unlike Link he doesn't bounce.
Back Aerial: Does a two kick combo.

Grab: Has a normal grab instead of clawshots, but throws are the same as Link.

Final Smash - Black Night
Whole armor turn into bats, making a area around him that constantly hits anything inside, giving you easy kills on anyone too close. Lasts for ten seconds.[/collapse]

Although it's rather creative, that Dark Nut moveset is rather pulled off strings. Bomb Arrows for example, it just won't happen. And neither does the character itself is anything worthy of being included on a roster. Even if it has full clones on it, Dark Nut wouldn't ever be considered. Hence I won't add it to the OP. Just try and focus on characters that have an actual CHANCE of getting in please.

Alright, I got one!

Blue Toad as Mario Clone! :troll:

As a Toad supporter, let's see what he can do!

N-Special: Ice Flower. Toad fires an ice ball forward, compared to Mario's fireball. This ice ball is spammable, and can freeze opponents in their tracks.
S-Special: Flying Squirrel. Toad turns into a Flying Squirrel and flaps his wings as a reflection. Unlike Mario's cape, using this leads into a glide. But, both still give some horizontal recovery and reflect/ flip projectiles and opponents.
U-Special: Super Toad Jump Punch. Toad jumps upward as mushrooms pop out of the enemy as a question mark box traps the opponent, similarly to Mario's Super Jump Punch, except the opponent stays in place while Toad pummels them
D-Special: Mushroom. Toad rises a mushroom behind him that fires spores that can push opponents, like Mario's F.L.U.D.D.

Final Smash: Starshroom. Toad boards the Starshroom as he flies across the stage, dropping dangerous Poison Mushrooms! Eventually, spores are left all over the place, just like flames from the Mario Finale.

Yeah sure, the more moves the better. Remember the rules of the thread though. Just to remind you that Sakurai's moveset decisions can be full of dissapointments.

@ APC99: Your moveset lacks a little detail. Describe a little better exactly what makes Toad and Mario comparable, and what sets Toad appart from Mario in your moveset.

Y'know....I might do one of these. I think I know who too.
Dark_Samus_MP3.jpg

EDIT: Here's the moveset I came up with. Hopefully it's good enough. I didn't add throws yet.

Dark Samus(Semi Clone)

Dark Samus' A attacks are somewhat different from Samus. Fighting a bit better in close range, but having poorer long range and cannon burst attacks.

A Attacks:
Jab: Punch, Arm Cannon Slam: Dark Samus' Jab is the exact same as Samus'. does 3% on first hit, then 8% on the second.

Forward+A: Roundhouse Kick: A another similar attack from normal Samus. This move has both a Sweet-spot and a Sour-spot. The tip of her foot is the Sweet-spot, dealing 13% damage. And the knee is the Sour-spot, dealing only 9%.

Up+A: Back Flip Kick: This move is different from Samus' Up + A. It's mostly used for popping the enemy upward for combos. It will always deal 11% damage.

Down+A: Sweep Kick: Another different move from Samus' original moveset. Dark Samus ducks down and deals a powerful counter-clockwise sweep kick. This moves deals 12% damage. This move is able to meteor smash at the right spot.

Dash Attack: Phazon Cannon Burst: Another unique attack, Dark Samus thrust forward with her Arm Cannon, releasing a short burst of Phazon. It only deals 7% damage as opposed to Samus' Shoulder charge dealing 10%. But it has more knockback. This move can serve as a K.O. move at higher percentages. The burst color is similar to Lucario's Aura.

Smashes:
Forward Smash: Arm Cannon Thrust: This move works more or less the same as Samus', but slightly worse. Instead of dealing 12%-19% damage, it deals 12%-16% damage. It's still a somewhat reliable finisher. This move shocks instead of burning the opponent.

Up Smash: Phazon Spreader: This move once again, works the same as Samus'. But it stills shocks the enemy instead of burning. Deals the same amount of damage per hit like Samus'.

Down Smash: Power Stomp: This attack is the only Smash attack that works fundamentally works differently than Samus' in her moveset. Dark Samus holds up her leg while charging this attack. Upon release, Dark Samus creates a shockwave that pushes the enemy far back. Dark Samus can deal anywhere from 14%-21% depending how close the the opponents may be. This works as Dark Samus main K.O. move at mid to high percentages.

Air Attacks:

Air Jab: "Sex Kick": Pretty much works like every other "Sex Kick". Deals the same damage as Samus'.

Forward Air: Backhand: Dark Samus swats the enemy away with a powerful backhand. This move deals 9% damage. And has a good knockback. Being able to K.O. at higher percentages.

Up Air: Drill Kick: This move is pretty similar to Samus', but it is giving electric sparks. It deals the same damage, but has a slightly bigger hitbox.

Back Air: Spin Kick: This move is the exact same as Samus' attack.

Down Air: Falling Shock Burst: Dark Samus punches downward. But releases a powerful burst of Phazon. This move acts as meteor smash. This move has electric effects. Deals 11% damage, it's a good K.O. option for higher percentages.

B Attacks:

B: Scatter Shot: Dark Samus shoots a series of Phazon energy bullets at the opponent. This move is seen in Metroid Prime 2. Each hit that lands deals 4%. They have as much range as Mario's Fireballs. While having the Speed of Fox's Blaster. This Attack has the same effect as Lucario's Aura.

Side+B: Super Missile: Another move from Metroid Prime 2. It is somewhat similar to Samus' Side+B, but has some unique properties. Unlike Samus' Missiles, Dark Samus will always shoot Super Missiles. They can't be aimed like Samus' Missiles. Dark Samus' Super Missiles will deal more damage than Samus' regular Missiles(5%), but less than Samus' version of the Super Missiles(10%). They always deal 8%. They have decent knockback. These Super Missiles will explode with a similar effect to Aura.

Up+B: Phazon Ball: Like in Metroid Prime 2, Dark Samus can encase her self in an orb of Phazon, rising up and then crash down at an angle. This acts as a recovery attack for Dark Samus. This attack deals 3% damage per hit, and hits three times while rising straight upward. But on landing, the crash deals a single 11% damage hit with decent knockback. This move is like Ike's Up+B, in that it is a bit risky if timed poorly. This attack has electric and aura effects.

Down+B: Morph Ball Bomb: This move works more or less like Samus' but deals only 2%-5% damage per bomb. The bombs explode a bit faster, making recovery a bit easier for Dark Samus than it is Samus. These bombs have aura effects.

Final Smash: Metroid Prime: This Final works similar to Mr. Game & Watch's. Dark Samus can transform back into it's original state before copying Samus' DNA,becoming the(I believe now, genderless)Metroid Prime. Hitting A or B will cause Metroid Prime to slash with its tendrils. Dealing 15% per hit, this move has great knockback, being able to K.O. at mid percentage damage. Jumping on the enemy will deal 20% damage. This Final Smash last as long as the Landmaster.

Uh...Sorry for the double post. But I had finished the Semi-Clone Moveset. I think it came out alright. I chose to add it to my first post.
