The Official Samus Tournament Results Thread

Hey so since us Samus users are pretty rare and we honestly do not know how to rank each other, I was thinking we should have a tournament results thread for us to place all of our offline results. Not only does this help with rankings among Samus users but it also helps the Smash 4 BackRoom when they start looking into making tier lists/MU charts. This results thread will have zero bias because we are strictly going by numbers/math.




*Rules*

1. Must be an offline tournament consisting of 18 players or more.
2. Must provide results thread, tournament thread or some sort of evidence when submitting results
3. Must have used Samus 100% of the time during tournament
4. Any State/Country can submit.
5. Custom events will not be counted.
6. Only monthlie events count. A weeklie event can count if you do ONE a month or if your city doesn't do monthlies.

NOTE: When submitting results to this thread, please include the following....

A. Tournament name ("Walmart Smash Bash For Cash" for example)
B. Date the tournament happened ("12/21/2021" for example)
C. Your placing ( "2nd out of 58" for example)
D. Smashboards results page or Smashboards ranking page (if you do not have one, please post the FB page AND the FB results page or any 2 websites that describe the event and show off the rankings).

I ranked within top8 at a recent FGCU monthly. I think there were 23 contestants.

How big must the tournament be? I know local stores that make tournaments every now and then, but considering that some of the players aren't really that good, I don't think that would help for a proper position in the Tier List. Also, what countries does the tournament have to be from? I have played some good tournaments here as well as in Mexico. And since I might be living over there next year, would results from over there still count?

1. 18+ man tournaments. Obviously, weekly events don't count because some of us (like me) can do 2 or 3 18 man events a week and forever be the best on the list. It's unfair to grind out weeklies for ranking spots.

2. Any country will count.

If you attend weeklies on the regular, it would look like you are pretty much farming points/fame. But then again, if I don't do rankings, I guess it wouldn't matter.

Since I live in Austria it's a far flight and I never did travel in a plane before but I honestly want to show off what Samus can do.
I play a very technical style, I know it sounds cocky, but I don't see that many players utilizing perfect framed SH RAR into B-Reversal Charged shots (if any) or canceling the charge shot with shieldcanceled jumping Bomb drops and other things that got important in my playstyle.
It makes me sick that my country has no big tournaments.

What's the advantage of SH RAR B-reverse CS vs a SH CS? Faking the bair?

It's a fake approach, it's a bit of a hard input but to be effective you have to fake the approach by running forward, SH RAR but in the same time you allready push the stick in the defensive direction when your bair is in the middle of it's animation so you land in an absolute safe spot and before you land you do the B-Reversed charge shot.
When they see a bair they don't expect to be caught by a charged shot.
I made 1xxx kills with that fake approach against good players. (even when they allready know this tactic, the bair makes it look like Samus lost her defense for a moment but Samus's horizontal air momentum is too good as long as you don't have Sonic speed.)

100%! There was only one other Samus there, but he switch after match 1. As far as I can tell there isn't a thread on Smashboards and the Facebook event page for it seems to be gone oddly. So if the Challonge isn't enough thats cool, there will be more to come!
